Been actually playing the old games slowly in preparation for the new one and I have to say that I agree. Kratos was always more than cruel blood death man.

You can criticise that IGN panel crews till the end of fucking time. They're bad at their jobs, we know, and that has pretty much nothing to do with God of War. It's like a strawman in a sense because if you want to find the most unqualified people in gaming you go to these IGN style panels. It's easy to tear what they say apart, because they're fucking terrible. There are still good conversations on God of War 2018 out there but this guy has gone to possibly the worst you can find.
I don't know, I feel like this dude is taking a nuance-less opinion and then opposing it. But his opinions feel defined by disagreeing with a take that's basically just dumb and irrelevant, so it comes across as a bit pointless. It's like setting up a strawman just to tear it down. Like he says that 2018 is great but Kratos' development would be worthless without the old games, and... yeah. If this video wasn't about disagreeing with those crappy non-critics, it would just be stating basic facts about God of War.
I just feel like saying: "you're not wrong, but... so?".
