I don't think the Conservatives can resolve the deadlock and keep their Brexit 'promises' from the election. They face too much opposition as well as some insurmountable obstacles where the EU has grown into our society. Some would say it's a tumour - to remove it would irreparably damage our country, but some think that regardless of the damage it has to be removed anyway.
I don't have much doubt that Labour could win another snap election. Corbyn is pathetic as an opposition leader and his cabinet are mostly no better, but on the campaign trail their rhetoric of hope and generosity for all the people who feel left behind really gets people going. They were so close to the post last time, we can do it this time. Go on, Theresa. I dare you.
Do they mean snap as in they'll get the same result as last time and May will get a slap on the hand?

I can also see them calling it so that the registration deadline falls just before people move back to university so that students can't vote in their uni constituency. That would a) dissuade people from voting at all because it'd be more effort and b) spread students out which, in fptp, reduces their value.

He definitely has the right factors to get the youth vote out there and involved. He's more down to earth than many of the average MPs in our country, willing to take part in whatever and understand everyone he can.
I just wish he wasn't a damn Eurosceptic at this point in time. Everything about the guy resonates quite well with the left leaning youth, and a fair few of the left leaning adult voting bloc. But he's still refusing to attempt to undo the damage of Brexit, merely mitigate it with continued EEA membership. That's not a solution, that's a Poundland brand plaster on a table saw wound.

Why exactly can the PM call an election whenever?
I legitimately wonder if it's because the lawmakers of early Parliament sat there in a shitty little box-like room, their environment akin a Native American smokehole, just a huge, thick cloud of acrid tobacco smog that intoxicated them and enabled them to see the future. They eventually ended up seeing a vision of the future where their shit-faced descendants end up embarrassing themselves with pratfalls like the last election, and they found it too much of a laugh riot to pass up even if they'd never be around to see it
the way I see it, there could be three outcomes
1) Tories somehow win a landslide. They now have unrestrained access to ruin our lives further (this is the bad ending)
2) Labour win, but only just. They now have to deal with the disastrous fallout of Brexit, which in turn will all but guarantee a Tory victory in the next GE i.e. "everything is so shit because of what LABOUR did, vote us and we'll ~*fix*~ it!! promise! *teehee*"
3) The status quo is maintained and the Tories have now wasted several more months NOT negotiating Brexit, virtually assuring a No Deal scenario. They have to deal with a double whammy of a complete crash out of the EU on top of gambling and losing again.
When will people learn to stop trusting Tories? Several times in the past two years they've set out to do something and it's completely exploded in their face at inevitably great cost to the British people. IF there is another snap election then it'll be the boldest of bold faced political stunts. What reason would there be for this except political? Fuck the rest of us, the Tories need to get their power plan to remain in power for the next few decades! You can't keep re-doing votes until you get the result you want, unless you wear a blue ribbon, then you can call re-votes as many times as you please until the PEASANTS learn their place!

Theres no way they'll want another election, they'd do absolutely anything to prevent it. They don't even have a majority from the last one, they'd be far too scared that they'll get hit harder only this time the DUP won't be enough to save them and Labour will get it.

I don't imagine this will go well for them, as a friend of mine who self-describes as far-right has agreed with me that we're both going to be voting for Labour, primarily out of spite for the amount of fucking elections we're having to deal with. I'd vote Labour anyway, but still, I think this is a bad sign for the Tories.
