The fact that they turned away more people in this small trial compared to the amount of voter fraud in the entirety of the UK means, yes this is a failure.
Anything that discourages people from voting is a failure.
The fact is that voter fraud in the UK is almost nonexistent
This is the norm in Northern Ireland. I can't fathom the concept of voting without an id. You need it to buy basic stuff like alcohol or 18+ media so why shouldn't you need it to go vote, considering it's a pretty big decision.
