What would you, the people of Gmod, like to see in a Gmod server?

Hi, Im TheVinstigator, Im a mid-time server owner, I've run multiple servers for almost a year now and sometimes I feel like expanding and making my community a bigger place.
In order for me to get things right Im here to ask anyone who so feels to reply, what kind of Gmod server would you like to see available to the public, weather that be another version of a pre-existing game-mode, or possibly a new game-mode all together.
I would also like to know what you would expect from that kind of server, such as the way staff acts and what ad-dons you would like to see there.
In case you are wondering my community "SystemCore" already runs the following servers~
Sandbox: Extremely builder and combat friendly with plenty of weapons and builder tools.
Cinema: Decent traffic, PAC3, food and soft drinks, and player models and point-shop in the near future.
Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated, hope to see you online sometime in the future,
~TheVinstigator
Im playing GMod for several Years now, and i noticed that pretty much the WHOLE gamemodes changed. Not on how they work, but on the amount they get playd.
Years ago everything was active. Stop it Slender, Sledbuild, Flood, DarkRP, Sandbox, etc.
And now it is pretty much only Sandbox and every Kind of RP. DarkRP and StarWars RP the biggest..
Im not saying thats bad, but i really miss playing Stop it Slender, sledbuild flood etc. But these gamemodes has no players anymore at all or maye 5 or so..on several servers. So like 1 players on a server or 2. (probably most are private servers where some friends play together)
I would LOVE to see a active server again with..pretty much anything than Sandbox or RP...
Sledbuild, Stop it Slender, just anything that was ages ago active and now is just dead..
I still love gmod, but its becoming knowns as a RP game, instead of a sandbox game
so...ya
Some form of battle royale or hunger games-esk gamemode, where everyone starts in the centre of a forrest
Thats actually a great Idea, and I believe I've seen something like this before, but it was pretty crude. I wil take note of this.
click my name
I'd personally recommend Hexane as they have been pretty trustworthy and also sponsored the upcoming garry's mod gamemode competition, as well as GMCHosting Solutions if you are looking for something a bit bigger and better.
A server that doesn't take 5 million fucking hours to join just to get banned anyway by incompetent admins
A server that doesn't host Sandbox or a variation of RP (I'd like to see more active Breach or Stop it Slender servers)
A server that's not filled with unnessecary addons
That's just what I want
A Zombie Survival gamemode that isn't older than TF2. Mr. Green and DarkerGaming ( for like a couple months then they raped the gamemode ) had some pretty innovative takes on the formula.
Mr. Green had a level progression system and weapon's could only be obtained through randomly spawned crates around the map, making boring barricading more of a last option than the main game, leading to these massive zombies vs humans brawl that expanded the entire map as opposed to one corner room with a single opening. Every zombie class had a distinct and well-defined role. Honestly the most fun I've ever had in Garry's Mod came from Necrossin's version of ZS. Which was unfortunately raped to death by bad coders and faded into obscurity.
DarkerGaming had a really unique blend of ZS2.0 and the current version, Barricading and gameplay was relatively similar to normal ZS, but there were no arsenal crates. Everything was guns for kills like the old days and ammo regenerated on a timer. Unfortunately their gamemode faded into obscurity as well.
Garry's Mod was released before TF2.
Expanding on your idea for Zombie Survival - I think it'd be really interesting for the base concept of zombie survival to be built upon with the addition of an in-game economy.
Random and rare drops that you can sell and trade with others.
lol no.
Ability to turn off or volume down loading screen's sound.
same what i said. Way too many sandbox and rp servers..and NOTHING of the random fun stuff. stop it slender, sledbuild, all empty
It would be really really nice with a server with different gamemodes (minigames) the players can vote to play for eg;
flood, murder, 1v1's etc
Go to Cre8ive. That's what I want to see in a server. And that's why I generally only play on Cre8ive if I play online.
Yeah I agree, there is nothing worse than waiting forever to join, especially after because all the addons you loaded in, you cant even play.
BuildRP was my favorite for a long time, didnt have to leave the server if I wanted to build and/or fall into a role.
Sounds like an interesting idea, would have to invest in a slightly more powerful server, but It would probably have more player traffic.
Alright so it has been a while sense I posted this thread, but I have gone and got my old community back up in running with a High Performance sandbox server that runs ACF (You can spawn anything, the server is not even affected), sense this is going good so far I'm looking forwards to soon open up a new server on the same machine, weather that is a Cinema, Zombie Survival or a Team Death-match/LazerTag server is still up for debate. If you guys would like to help decide on what happens to this community and the upcoming server, and become staff, please join our new developer discord (aside from our media discord).
I always make sure our admins are up to par so that un-happy users are a small portion of our traffic.
Based off what your guy's ideas were, id love to work with you. and hopefully see you find a home in the community.
If you wish to check out the sandbox server, search "SystemCore" on sandbox.

I'd like to see a Flood server with players, I loved playing that gamemode and it's tons of hours of fun, even if it's only fighting against others on boats.
Less Addons or at least keep addons that have a proper use ingame
