Reason Brexit was a bad idea number 448675309
You mean why it was an EXCELLENT idea!
Alright Boilrig
This is probably the point where I would say “I’m tired of winning, can we please stop winning”
watch this get called "unfair" and that "the EU needs to compromise"

If they don't pay the bill within 15 minutes we aren't legally allowed to leave
@Boilrig
It would not surprise me if they find a way to hold it up.
Dear Your Highness Queen Elizabeth, I'm not intimately familiar with the limitations on your Royal Authority in modern times, but I implore you, if it is in any way, shape, or form to exercise such authority and stop Brexit for the betterment of not only the United Kingdom, but indeed the world at large, please do so. It is bad enough that one major western power be in the middle of committing complete and total political suicide. I'm fully aware that such actions would be immensely unpopular amongst the public and will create shockwaves throughout the political sphere over there, but sometimes leaders have to make decisions and take actions that fly in the face of public opinion, that are unpopular, because those decisions and actions would provide a better outcome for the country. And perhaps in taking such action, you might inspire leaders in this country to also make the hard choices, to push through an unpopular act that would have lasting positive repercussions later on down the line. Sincerely, and with the upmost respect: America
Just a note, if Her Madge stepped in and interfered with Brexit, there would be a constitutional crisis that would threaten to tear the government, and the nation, apart. The consequences of Brexit are predicted to be severe by everyone except Boilrig, but the consequences of UK democracy being wholly overruled by the sovereign overstepping her bounds and imposing her unilateral will on Parliament would be even worse. It would be akin to Congress passing a bill and handing it to Trump and he just starts rewriting the whole thing before signing it. Even hardcore Remainers shouldn't accept a royal intervention into what is Theresa May's mistake. Of all of the ways the UK can avert Brexit, the Queen stepping in and dictating matters is the worst (non-violent) option.
they haven't managed to accomplish anything so far, why would they suddenly accomplish something as big as that
The Royal Family can't get involved in politics anymore, its illegal for a member of the Royal Family to even enter the house of commons IIRC. It's kind of what the English Civil War was fought over.
It is what government is good at, I would like to see if it is actually legal, as the article mentions they may have to pay, not they have to.
The British government isn't good at anything, and if you're thinking "oh, they just won't pay it", then no country will ever want to make a deal with them ever again, assuming they even want to after this anyway
If the British government wasn't good at anything, it probably would've collapsed years ago. I suspect it will all be backroom deals, the British will pay and the next day the EU signs a deal. What it will come down to is that if the UK doesn't think it will get a good deal or a deal at all after the money is paid, then it will not make a deal and in that circumstance, according to some lords report a while back, would then not be required to pay.
This particular governmental party isn't good at anything. The Tories never really have been in the last century or so. They have a long history of fucking up the country, totally ignoring anywhere that isn't London and only ever serving the rich to make them richer. Our country hasn't managed to fall apart totally yet despite their best efforts because the opposition gets a turn at undoing their fuckups every so often. This current government in particular has cut so many services that we've seen spikes in crime, poverty, inequality and all kinds of shit that we never expected to see regress this much. I wouldn't have any faith in them making any kind of "backroom deal" either because the dumbshits we've been sending over to "negotiate" for us haven't done a single fucking thing right. If they were going to make under the table deals with anybody it'll be countries that we've been trying to avoid trade with due to ethical concerns because like FUCK any of the EU countries will want to trade with us if we somehow decide not paying this fee is a good idea. And we can't exactly rely on America right now either. Theresa May is a massive incompetent who was a notoriously shitty Home Sec. before being handed the position of PM thanks to every other nominee for the role being too spineless to actually do what needs to be done and cancel A50. She's delusional, impossibly bad at her job, and the only thing she's got going for her is this strange ability to get all the god damned inbreds who can't see the damage she's done to have unwavering support in her ~~~strong and stable~~~ government (that is constantly undermining her efforts but hey, that's stability!). Where Jeremy Corbyn is a genuine fucking threat to a Tory leadership figure, they know they've fucked up. The dude we from zero to hero almost entirely off the back of Maybot 2000 being an objectively terrible human being. He was a literal nobody before this.
I've never praised the conservatives. Those countries know the UK can't pay without a deal because the UK simply won't pay at that point without more or less a written guarantee of a deal, then I wouldn't be surprised if they find themselves a clause out of paying if the EU doesn't front with the deal at the end. And as I've explained many times, its political suicide if you cancel A50, and we well know that to cancel it, it needs to be a full EU agreement as both sides have pointed out, which I can easily see turning into a renegotiation and most likely the dropping of the Pound among other changes as the price to reentry.
As opposed to economic and potentially territorial (if Scotland triggers indyref #2 and Ireland considers reunifying) suicide? The only ones who lose out on canceling A50 are the Tories, and frankly they fucking deserve it for being even more useless than Trump in the same timespan. That's an accomplishment.
Really feeling that economic suicide https://www.ftadviser.com/investments/2018/05/23/carney-downplays-long-term-impact-of-brexit/ and on the topic of Scotland and Ireland, Scotland indy is what I would consider economic suicide, and I find it improbable it will cause Ireland to reunify.
Boilrig is currently in New Zealand, a one man army claiming it back for the empire. PS: I have no idea why somebody rated your post 'Bad Spelling.'
Someone has to play the side of the empire. I would like to know the Irish position after the EU finally clamps down on their low tax haven, British rule may be preferable.
There are many things that I would love to say right now. all of them would get me banned.
hmm. hmmmmmmmmm. "may be". Might I ask, given your position, why would it not "definitely be"?
I want the drugs you're on. They must be incredible.
Or if you prefer Britain could accept Irish rule? Seems more realistic, anyway.
Just need to say his name twice and the defender of bad idea gets summoned.
For a situation like this you have to be. As I've always maintained ever since before Brexit, I don't know in the future what kind of state the EU and the UK are going to be in. I don't take drugs. Not really no. Nothing wrong with Brexit.
This is on par with building a wall and making EU pay for it
