While I may not agree with the US' huge defence budget and think it could be massively trimmed down without a loss of capability, the modernisation of the US nuclear arsenal is long overdue in the face of continuing Russian modernisation, treaty violations and expansion.
The only thing that might bring Russia back to the negotiating table on the INF is the US deploying its own (or threatening to deploy) INF violating weapons. Russia also intends to repalce all of its ICBMs and SLBS in the next decade or so, while the US continues to us Minuteman III missiles built in the 1970s and Trident II missiles built in the late 1980s with warheads designed in the 1970s and 1980s on them. Russia also continues to possess thousands of tactical nuclear weapons of all sorts (everything from little nuclear artillery shells to tactical ballistic missiles) while the US only possess one type of tactical nuclear weapon (a gravity bomb) limited to about 400 weapons.
US modernisation is crucial to not only the defence of the US, but most Western nations under their umbrella
The more I listen to this video the more I remember TYT is not news but trash designed to sell advertising to sheltered people on the left who can offer no viable alternative to Russian aggression.
