Imagine one day you'll be talking about how shit ICE is and the next your face is being analyzed across years of footage to see if you ever did a crime so you can be censored.
That's actually a pretty scary reality if widespread surveillance/recognition becomes a thing. Not just for ICE, for any level of Government agency, really.
Big issue I have with this is that facial recognition is really not very accurate when you consider that lifelike silicon masks exist that even people looking at you would likely not realise are on your face. If someone was going to do something illegal they knew they would be caught on camera doing, wearing one of those is a sure fire way to confuse the system.

fuck the government level, think of the private level. The entire plot to Watchdogs 2 is silicon valley giants using ctOS to: watch people and their eating/living habits to control their insurance rate, watch kids for marketing research for toy companies, create blacklists with surveillance to prevent employers from hiring you immediately for different reasons, blackmail/extortion, using google's algorithm to constantly push one candidate during elections with facebook (because said candidate would help deregulate them more), and much much more.
If mass surveillance spreads even more, commiting crimes in front of cctv cameras would be the least of your concern.
At least Americans have bump stocked semi-full automatic assault cannons to use against their local camera's.
