Okay, so I just got GMod a couple days ago and joined the Star Wars RP gamemode yesterday. Some guy was nice enough to train me for an HOUR and then suddenly my entire game just crashed, giving me a low memory problem popup error. So the server was an Imperial Serious Roleplay server and I wanted something more serious. Usually, it crashes whenever it reaches:
Downloading voice_amplifier.vmt.bz2
That's when everything goes down. I've done almost everything to try and solve it. I've lowered my graphics options to low and I've even subscribed to the Voice Amplifier in the workshop in hopes of it fixing the situation but continues to crash.
Then, I used CCleaner to clean my entire computer, I've deleted the popup which gives me the error, troubleshooting does not help and no matter what I do, I can never get back into the server.
I've even tried another server which is a Semi-Serious Imperial RP group and it also crashes. Next thing I know, I'm trying every server and EVERYTHING causes Gmod to crash!!! It can never keep going in order to finish! Please help! I've literally been spending 48 hours trying to solve this problem but to no avail. Nobody can help me on the Steam forums because they've never experienced THIS kind of problem or they just enjoy seeing other people suffer.
As I said, I've literally tried EVERYTHING. I've tried to reboot my PC, clean my PC, go into performances to set it to either custom or automatic whatever, troubleshoot, did a malware scan, system restore, verify game integrity through properties on Steam, change launch number whatever, the console for allowhtml does not exist, etc. Nothing works!!! I just want to roleplay as something great! Now I can't do ANYTHING! I can understand if ONE or TWO servers don't work but if all of them cause my game to crash before reach the end is where it becomes a serious problem. PLEASE HELP!!!
