So I launch rust, the lobby works perfectly fine, then I join a server (no matter which server), it goes to downloading the server as usual and all of the sudden I get Rustclient.exe is not responding.
I never had this before, and I have no clue how to fix this, every solution I found was about nvidia but I don't have nvidia as far as I know.
I'd like to have this solved otherwise I have bought this game just to be able to play it for 56 hrs:S

I got it working! Even though I have 16GB of RAM I had to limit it to 8GB to get it working.
Copy and paste this under Rust's launch options. Right click on Rust in steam, properties, set launch options, and copy and paste this:
-cpuCount=6 -exThreads=12 -high -maxMem=8192 -malloc=system -force-feature-level-11-0 -winxp
