I really hope they catch these fuckers. Having this happen in my city, at an intersection where people I know live and work, where I myself worked until recently, makes my blood boil. I'm glad nobody was killed, but nobody gets to fuck around in my hometown without paying for it.
Our country seldom sees terrorist acts happen within our borders, it's genuinely shocking when they actually occur. This is as strange as seeing a bomb go off in Montréal, Vancouver or Toronto.
There is a huge demographic of Indian Muslims but I know what you mean.
I just can't figure out why. At first I thought it was a gang, but then I realized that a gang using explosives and injuring random bystanders would draw way too much heat. What gang leader would want federal counterterrorism and Intel agencies breathing down their neck, it'd make it really hard to do business.
Then thinking about the fact the target was an Indian restaurant and a bomb was used, and the only thing that makes sense is a politically motivated attack. Call it terrorism, a hate crime, whatever. I'm hoping I'm wrong. But I can't help but be reminded of Montreal.
I can't see how this wouldn't be politically motivated. I visit Mississauga frequently. This is just saddening.
You really don't expect these kinds of things to happen around here.
