Why not? I own a Rust on steam and i want the old version from the Rust.. thats all.
Why should they keep redundant files ? and unless you are running your own server steam would update on startup , you would not be able to use any plugins so it would be 100% vanilla as you would not be able to find oxide version to match,

Should it not have the performance issues it has, I think a lot of people would go that way. Me not included, Ark is just too weird for me.
