Oi quit fucking around
I know some people don't wanna hear this, but this is pretty much everything Trump outlines in some of his books. It's mostly about maintaining an aura of control or some shit.
in reality he's that douchebag friend who constantly fucks up your schedule.
Why wouldn't people want to hear that he got someone to write about how to embaras himself in his own books?
This isn't a responsible way for a world leader to handle foreign relations. You don't establish goodwill and foster positive change by spreading your legs and establishing dominance.
Now this is what i call a power play
His own staff are saying that it's almost guaranteed that it's not happening on the 12th because of the amount of preparation required.
Trump has never been a fan of listening to reality when it tells him something he doesn't want to hear, so of course he's going to talk like it's still possible. He's spent his whole life as the CEO of one or more private companies, meaning he's used to nobody being able to tell him no. The US government doesn't function that way despite his best efforts to make it jump at his whims.
Also, Trump generally didn't write his own books, they were ghostwritten. The coauthor of The Art of the Deal has gone on record as saying that Trump was basically an ADHD kid who lost interest in sitting for interviews regarding the book almost immediately, so the guy was left to just make shit up. In the intervening years, Trump has convinced himself that he actually wrote it, even though he's likely never even read it.
It doesn't look like he is the one in control if you follow the series of events. Pence drops the news that the administration might back out of the meeting first, which he only would have done if everyone in the administration agreed to that line of thought. North Korea responds with a jab towards Pence. Trump doubles down, saying the meeting isn't going to happen because of Kim's hostility. North and South Korea have an emergency meeting and within hours Trump is back to saying it's happening on the same day.
You're right about one thing, and that is people don't want to hear about how a confused, contradictory administration that is constantly leaking while trying to keep a mediocre businessman to task when it comes to world diplomocy is actually carefully considered and strategized fourth dimensional chess.
Strangely I see the US being the uncooperative barrier to the reunification of Korea now.
More like being a big fucking whiny bitch
