The Tc Upkeep system Kills solo / smaller teams and Boosts Bigger Group Allot!

this game has brought me joy since legacy but the last years it only has brought me sadness most of the time and now on top of everything they added the Upkeep system for Toolcupboard a while ago.
first of all my problems with the Upkeep system is that we group of 3 used to be able to rival Big clans with big bases that needed big boy Sulfer to Raid, but now because were only a team of 3 we cannot keep up a big base while big clans can upkeep a base with 2 hours on the Tc No problem Because there is always someone online and on top of that They Can raid us easy because we have a small base because its not Realistic to make a big base with only 3 people and upkeep it 24/7 we cant even take a half a day off and this in my eyes is totally Stupid and puts me off playing rust all together that on top of all the hackers in the game spoke to an admin a while ago from rustafied and he said there are way too many hackers for us to be able to ban. and this has been a problem since legacy nothing changed over the years in fact the hacker problem got worse... Good Job Facepunch.... Go punch urself in the face please... inb4 u come at me with were just a small company IT HAS NOTHING TO FUCKING DO WITH U BEING A SMALL COMPANY.. Rust is a BigBoy Game now and it needs BIG BOY ANTICHEAT! so maby change to a BigBoy Anti-Cheat Company like Blizzard's doing ( Just so you know its possible)
What do i want?
i want the Upkeep system to be looked at because in my eyes the negatives outweigh the positives and on top of that it destroys allot of people's gameplay i loved to build big castles but thats an impossible dream now without a team of 15..... I really hope one of the devs will Realise it's a really stupid system for anyone other then big groups.
Player base should start growing in june if players are not bored of this system and all these changes.
Personally I don't mind the Upkeep system, but I hate how the Work benches currently are. Rust is very nomadic. Zerg finds your base, sticks around to see week spots. leave, Once they leave it's generally a good idea to start moving shit to a new location. unfortunately the Current workbenches cost too much, and they're welded to your base permanently. that Kills the ability to straight up abandon a base.
Lets hope so!
On top of that yes i agree workbenches should be movable.
this is a post from 2016 the game is already out now and its pretty broken in this state im not bored just trying to give my 2 cents i have allot of experience in rust and know what breaks it or not i have put in so much input to the devs that they actually used later because they realized some systems were not working how they should Just like this system it was supposed to be there to keep players playing and have a decay system to clean the servers. but it has a BIG Con to it and thats that it boosts bigger Groups and not just a littlebit It Boosts them allot like in a way that smaller groups are not being able to build against them anymore and making them really easy raid targets.
@Chinchan Totally agree with you!
@Chevlion
#RemoveWorkbenches
2 year old article....what fucking relevance could that possibly have?? lul
#MoveableWorkbenches
I like work benches, I just don't like them being welded to the base.
Bc Garry knows that kids will come back once it's mostly done ^^
That's normal; it happens every year. That's the regular fluctuation in the player base changing over to the post holiday season. It's an expected change that's been observed since 2014 and doesn't indicate any out of the ordinary trends.
the way i see it is that over the years rust had a steady increase of active players and i know about the fluctuations but the thing is rust was growing every year until last year, this year the numbers of active people actually started to decline and. A decrease instead of an increase is not a good thing in my eyes.
history never repeats itself...LUL
Upkeek in the first week been an unplayable shit
But currently upkeep is ok, and good balance tool.

Try playing solo, I'm basically guaranteed to get raided when I log off.
But I disagree on the upkeep system, I think it is necessary to keep 2/3 man teams from having enormous bases impossible for a solo player to raid. Before building 3.0 I made big bases too, but I have since adapted because that's how the game works lol.
There are modded servers which turn off the upkeep, maybe that is more your speed. This post however reads like it was written by a spoiled child. "This is hard for me so you should change it." how ridiculous.
I absolutely hate how people try to revert others to modded servers just because they speak up on an issue with vanilla. The thing is, with the component system, if you get raided you lose everything. There is no coming back, because if you weren't griefed already, you are just going to keep getting targeted by the same group if you keep playing. Playing on a modded server wont change this. Now on top of losing all your components/items, you're going to lose all the upkeep from your tool cupboard also.
So let me ask those of you that disagree with Chinchan, how are you rewarded by playing this game? Big groups are the only ones that are rewarded. Solo players have to slave away 10x more and in the end get offlined because they can't build bases big enough to protect themselves and have to constantly start over again. So, give me one example of how solo players are rewarded by playing this game?
The upkeep is not that bad. Do not build huge bases that you cannot maintain and build smart. Instead of building a 2x2 that you do not need, build a 2x1 with basement and you will have plenty of storage.
This is absolutely STUPID. Might as well not even build a base.
