what a thrill.... I'm loving that he's still runnin' with that gag.

Lost it atCruisin' USA
The fucking Cruis'n USA music.
now I remember why I quit dark souls at tomb of the giants
Its perfect game design.
Tomb of Giants' most annoying feature is that it's either unreasonably annoying if you don't do Solaire's quest properly, or a cakewalk if you do.
You just need that weird lamp thing it's not that bad IMHO.
unless you two hand shit, then you have to put it away or use one handed mode if you can handle it.
Could be worse. When I got the lantern for the first time I didn't know that it was a left-hand only weapon. I got through most of the Tomb of the Giants swinging it in my right hand and wondering why it was borderline useless.
The Comedy of "Tough guy says tough thing, immediately backfires" will never cease to be funny...
We've all been there with that damn illusionary wall fake message.
Haven't beaten the game yet, but was the wall that he said "not falling for that one again" an actual illusionary wall?
There's even a bonfire behind it.
ToG has three ways you can do lighting. One if you do Lost Izalith first and finish a certain quest line, one's if you're a mage and you save Dusk at Darkroot Basin (Cast Light), and the third is when you let yourself get tricksed by Patches in ToG. Kicks you down a hole where a lantern is.
The best bit is him just casually wearing Solaires armour
or if you're one of the lucky fucks who gets one to drop from the necromancers
I got through the Tomb of the Giants without problem on my first try without using the lantern by just following the little glowing things. It's not hard and it's completely safe.
Tomb of the Giants is fun, especially with the lantern cause it's an interesting little change up to the established gameplay. You gotta be more careful and prioritize whenever you want light or a shield/holding your weapon two handed. It gives me that old school AD&D dungeon exploration feeling that I really like.
I was heavily amused at the roof where you fight the bell gargoyles having two messages - one on the left saying "Try right" and one on the right saying "Try left".
