If meme magic got trump in lets make meme magic put bernie in
If he's healthy enough and of sound mind, go for it.
It didn't, Russians did.
Let's hope he chooses his VP wisely then.
I wonder how hes going to get screwed over this time.
Hillary Clinton
Even if it would be a change for the better I don't think Bernie would win if he ran 2020.
Uncle Joe VP 2020
if we go from trump to bernie this will probably be known as the whiplash era
I'll vote and campaign for him again.
Just wait if Bernie is really interest re-running as president under as Democrat again before get hype about it.
I've said it several times, Bernie/Biden would basically have everyone flip their switches to excitement. The caring grandpas are back in town and they're gonna fix shit.
(Results may vary)
Well, Not very probable since Biden is little to center-right from Bernie's center-left.
Yep
Do it, fuck Harris, Booker, or anyone the DNC chooses. He's ancient, but I trust him to pick a solid VP and step down if necessary.
Hillary vs. Trump was a close race but the Russian interference pushed Trump to win.
Also this feels really close to "Hilary and Trump are almost as bad as each other" which I really hope you're not implying because christ that's just so horrifying.
And Trump was only likable because the bigots that have been quiet lately came out and all nodded their heads to him. You can't say someone who said "grab her by the pussy" and "build a wall" is genuinely more likable.
The sad thing is that Sanders in 2020 would probably be more effective than Sanders in 2016 because he probably would have gotten stuck with a red house and senate and then be blamed by Fox News watchers that he couldn't achieve anything without an executive order, despite turning the other cheek at Trump using executive orders even with both the house and senate sucking up to his lard ass. At least in 2020, there is a decent chance for a bluer house and senate and thus more effective usage of his powers.
"yeah russia also had a hand in it"
"stop saying its all russia"
???
And also anyone who said "I'm sick of this political BS! I'm voting for Trump!" is absolutely fucking delusional. Anyone who said "I'm not voting for any of them because they both suck" is also absolutely delusional. It's like being presented with Nixon and Stalin, and saying "idk, I'm tired of Nixon's crap, I'm going to go for Stalin."
We knew Trump was going to be awful. He promised awful things, and is already genuinely taking rights away from people.
Yeah, Hilary sucked. That was very rarely debated. She rigged her way to win against Bernie, and it was a shock when she lost to Donald Trump. But you can't still be beating that dead horse, because it's long dead. Most people agree that it's dead. But people still didn't seem to care enough to stop Trump from getting in. You can't possibly imply that Clinton is remotely as bad as Trump, because it's so far-fetched. I can go on with analogies over how god-awful the apathy is, the hatred towards Clinton that's so blinding that it lets Donald Trump become the president. I just don't believe it can be justified.
Trump can barely even speak English. How on earth is he a good speaker when he constantly loses track of himself mid sentence, makes up nonsensical conspiracy theories out of the blue, spouts absolute gibberish, and slurs his speech? Trump is a good speaker the same way Nigerian Prince spam emails are well written: they're capable of attracting idiots, and nothing else.
I expect the 2020 primaries to be crowded and filled with candidates more to the left who will eat at Bernie's base. I don't really see Bernie winning in that situation tbh.
Like I get it Clinton was bad, she was a typical ""politician,"" had a weak campaign, cringe worthy PR, et cetera. But to look and compare to Trump and still feel apathetic about it is sickening.
Romney? Sure. Cruz? Fine. Rubio? Okay. Donald Trump? A rapist, who whines on Twitter, gloats immaturely, throws tantrums, tries to oppress the first amendment, defends Nazis, oppresses sex workers, openly racist, and removes laws that protected the rights of trans people? How. Even now can you say "yeah I don't regret it."
It's kind of funny really, the alt right has been pretending for years that they became a thing because of some imagined upswing of far left politics, but now we can see the exact opposite is happening, the far left is coming to life because of the damage the alt right has done.
God I cannot wait for the cries of "TOO OLD! UNELECTABLE" to start again.
Gonna laugh a little if Bernie ends up out-living the Hamburglar-in-chief TBH.
A younger Sanders would still have garbage policies that don't make any economic sense and are basically populist appeals.
I don't think a Bernie elected now would be able to deliver on even half of his goals/promises. It'd take decades and multiple Bernies, and some of the things seem simply impossible. But if no other reasonable choice appears...
Traditionally most candidates drop out pretty quick
How do you define Naive? Bernie is a lifelong politician who knows exactly how life in politics works. It may not be simple to implement but what he wants to do is mobilize the younger generations into actually giving a shit about politics and voting for policies that the rest of the world has figured out already.
I think this:
Give some insight. I wouldn't really think Bernie is exactly planning on having a universal health care system at the end of his first term, but he's definitely going to try to get the ball rolling, at least.
He's going for a poorly-thought out single-payer healthcare system that simply cannot fund itself without massive tax hikes on everyone.
