Sorting posts by rating seems bad, it'll just mean people look for the highest rated post, add another rating to it, and ignore the posts with no ratings
Why would we want to be any more like a shithole like Reddit, let alone copy its biggest thread sorting weakness? That shit blocks out new threads for most users and encourages boring, cookie cutter template threads that will get the most positive ratings.
It's just a fun suggestion. I'm not saying replace the new format, I'm saying add the option.

Sorting by any rating sounds like a mixed bag, you'd get Dumb and Late posts in there too. I think sorting threads and posts by a rating you select could be interesting, like going to LMAO Pics and sorting by Funny ratings, or going to TF2 Emporium and sort by Artistic to find cool stuff or sort by Informative to find tutorials.
Yeah that would be dope too. I'm just saying all of the ratings because it would be a good way to see threads which have effected the community (negatively and positively) the most.
The reason that everyone flipped the fuck out when megathreads were getting busted was because nobody wanted stuff to become more redditesque, why on earth would this be a good idea?
The format literally just supports populist opinion.

why not allow people to sort it by whatever factor and keep the current setting as default.
