Just watched it about an hour ago. It's surprising how underrated this game is to western audiences, I've barely heard about it until a year after Yakuza 0 was released.
Yakuza is fun cause unlike GTA where its ridiculous and has a strong sense of Cynicism.
Yakuza is ridiculous, yet embraces that ridiculousness and is completely unapologetic in how much it loves it.
Most people hadn't heard of them until 0, it did a huge amount of getting a western audience to notice the series.
Its pretty much just British vs Japanese humour.
Although by 5 they'd been getting away from the whole satirical aspect of those games and settled into slapstick nonsense. It was still British comedy but more like a children's tv show with swearing.
Considering you'll be able to play 7 games worth of them on one platform since they confirmed ports of 3, 4, and 5, it'd be worth it IMO
That's it. I know what I'm getting next time I drive by a Gamestop.
I wouldn't really say you're missing out on much if you're playing the Kiwami games. The loading in the first game is just awful.
