Remove weapons and turrets from city stores. It's very easy to get. Running a game with bows and spears is very short.
nono! but the grind is so bad... getting weapons and turrets is impossible - just look at all the complaints on the forums!
I found the weapons in the boxes, and from the planes I had a tower.
who on earth has actually bought a revolver from the compound, so there is no reason to remove it. Same with turrets
to hide the chest in the texture?
I agree with BTRR but to a greater extent. In my humble opinion the scientist outpost is not needed in the game. I believe it was a response to all those people who continually claim that the grind is too hard. Those who read posts will know that I am for less technology and more grind. I am quick not to judge additions to the game. The scientist compound, after evaluating it, is not needed in the format it is. I don't know the full story of Rust and I probably never will. Maybe they need the outpost for future story lines. But supplying everything from large furnaces, work benches to boots, doesn't help the survival ethos of rust. If people want easy then let them play on modded servers where they give out kits and airdrops. If you work hard, you get rewarded. A game's life span becomes rapidly shortened by handing out more and more technology that fuels the instant gratification wanted by so many today.
I'm not entirely sure about the compound either, but I am 100% against grinding, especially in a game where you can lose it all in one night.
I think a games lifespan is shortened by unending boredom from getting small rewards for more work, I have been on Vanilla servers where the loot piles contain the same 5 items at each trash pile and you take them to the radtown and recycle the same things over and over till you get enough scrap to make a workbench, then do it over for the next one, I would assume that some vanilla servers are better than others but i am not interested in vanilla enough to check more than the ones i have already been on, To me modded servers have added years to the game which i still enjoy and play everyday,
I play only on vanilla. This is a real Rust. Servers where there are teleports, etc. it's like for me for children, I do not want to offend you.
Doesnt offend me as I dont really care about what others think of the Rust I play. I am coming up to the 15600 hours on this game (4-5 on legacy/vanilla the rest modded) So what other people regard as the "real" game is what they enjoy playing, And a few of the additions that mods have put into the game have been added as standard in vanilla, for instance NPC plugin added bots now you have scientists, Rust io brought a detailed map to the game now you have one as standard (which is being improved), Anyway i will probably still be playing quite happily when my detractors have given up and left the game
