Taking full advantage of the living aspect of living history. Also it is just pretty neat that we do finally have a game looking at Vietnam, at least partially, from the ARVN perspective, they kind of tend to get ignored in favor of the Americans and, to a lesser extent, Australians.
South Korea's involvement has been totally ignored by popular media on vietnam war to this date, and yet they had the 2nd largest contingent of troops deployed for the war effort, some ~50k compared to Australia's ~7k. Even thailand had a larger contingent than Australia, at 11k personnel I think most people aren't even aware of the involvement of SK, Thailand and the Philippines. I certainly wasn't until I actually read about the war in depth. Hell most people aren't even aware that Australia played a significant role in the war, and yet there is actually popular media about Australian involvement, both primary productions (i.e focusing on australians) and peripheral mentions in american productions.
Can't speak for anyone else but I certainly wasn't, interesting to learn, now I'm gonna have to do some looking into it. Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately much of what is written about SK in Vietnam focuses on alleged war crimes than anything else. Its a real shame that these 3 countries have their troops remain unsung, this was a war that much closer to their homes, from countries that were actually at risk of the domino theory and communist influence. To this day, Thailand and the Philippines have conflict with communist insurgencies.
I'm curious on how authentic the NVA accents are. The north were known to have extremely harsh accents that sound completely different from typical southern Vietnamese accents. If I recall some words were just straight up different from each other.
I live in Vietnam, can confirm that the north and south have very different accents, and yes even the words used are often different. People like my gf who have grown up both north and south tend to learn to speak two different dialects, one for when they are in Hanoi, and one for down south like Saigon. There are regional accents like anywhere else in the world, but "hanoi talk" and "saigon talk" are very different, even using different words.
Can confirm, that sounds neither north nor south vietnam because he's supposed to yell for those announcements but for recording purpose, he kinda held the voice inside his lung and doesn't let it out, resulting in 'forced' yelling which sounds very unnatural.
All they need now is to re record the American lines and we’re gucci!
