I did was updating post but i wanna keep a forum thread alive encase face punch doesn't help or someone else helps faster
I am no expert but in the past I have had a similar issue. The first time it was an over temperature issue. The thermal paste needed replacing. The second time I fixed by updating my BIOS.
It really really really really sucks not being able to play Rust
this pc is only about a year old so I doubt its because the paste is old and if it was caused by these issues they would have been there since I got the pc and not since about a month ago. Also state of decay surprising has a high min spec requirement which my i5 6400 doesnt meet and that game doesnt crash while playing despite the fact that my pc struggles more with that game then rust judging from the noise level it produces.
reinstal gpu drivers from nvidia not via g-force and remove ant softwere that helps to control gpu (make sure any overclock on gpu is removed first) good luck
Uninstalling graphics driver and doing fresh install
Iv tried fresh install
overclock?
I'm having the same issue for weeks now. I've even restored Windows and reinstalled everything. I do overclock my CPU, but the error log shows a memory problem... no other problems with any other game or app whatsoever.
To the owner of this thread, have you set the graffical setting on potato because that might be the problem, i wasn't getting the crashing problem but i was getting something like this problem, just set all of your setting to low then play for a bit, if the problem still consists then do verifiy game cache in steam setting because it might be something has gone wrong when a update happened to the game, if all of that didn't work then you got to talk to a dev of the game about your problem.
read the thread please, ive done all of that and except the potato setting but I know thats not the cause so im not bothering with that as I have a powerful enough pc to handle rust and if it was from setting being to high the problem would have been there from the beginning not randomly appearing a few months ago.
I added you on steam, I might be able to help you, I remember having issues like this before.
OK? Why not just post your info here to help others with the bug as well.
Because I have a few suggestions, and I dont have time to keep checking a forum. If you want help we can ttalk on steam or something like discord and if it works you can post the info on here to help others. If you
dont need any help just say.
Na it just seems weird you need to add me but don't wanna post your info, and only have 13 hours in rust. Just seems fishy like there would be other motives and if you don't have time to check the forums why did you XD? What are you suggestions just post them.
try adding this to the launch parameters - -force-gfx-direct. you may get lower fps due to it dissbling multicores but it can stop the crashing for some people. if it still crashes run a prime95 stress test for around an hour and see if that crashes. let me know about these two things and ill respond.
Hey just wondering if it worked or not, if it didn't work with that launch parameter could you send some updated logs on to here? Would help me.
pass me your rust files and i will check them see if find any fixes once i fixe them i will end you back the
fixed data
ill try that thursday been busy with work
i meant after you tried with the launch parameter. also this issue is nothing to do with rust itself its a known problem with unity.
