It's happening
Great. Even more things that need Organg Donation It`s a joke
The age of skinjobs is upon us.
People: Robots are gonna take over, haven't you seen all the movies!! Also people: Give robots the same things that they had in movies that helped them overtake us.

Unstoppable killing machine on legs alone, with possibility to arm whatever you'd like from MGs to RPGs and even suicide loads... ... And then it moos

I want my piston-powered jackhammer-cock.
Just pointing this out here if we want to survive, we're going to have to augment ourselves. if we don't? We won't make it past mars.
I think most of us know that. What matters is will be willing to do it. Some people could never stomach the thought of looking down at your body, your legs, your hands and understanding that they are metal and plastic mixed with meat. And it really is a disturbing thought when you get into it. It's VERY Deus Ex mankind divided
I'd fuckin do it Robot hands without the neuropozyne crutch sounds fuckin sick
A new age.
Bring on the chrome. Goodbye to meat and dust and death.

Biohybrid sound shit, just say Biomechanical instead. I'd fucking do this shit, I'd replace my limbs with ones that are better, even if it meant taking drugs all my life, don't care, worth it.
so essentially they shoved a robotic apparatus between two muscles and stimulated those muscles... I was expecting more?
Good luck with your dead mouse's muscles working after a week of decay.
Fucked up how you didn't until now Or maybe you were already experimenting with this in your basement
why is it always dues ex that is right
For old men!
I'd want robot parts- but the big deal-breaker for me would be if they had any easily accessible way to interact with the code in them. The system would need to be totally closed off, not wifi accessible or even easily accessible by technicians. I hate the idea of having a cool robot arm, or a cool cranial computer implant that some arsehole hacker- physical or digital- could hijack.
Well now that's mean and no I don't do these things in the basement but the principle of muscles contracting when recieving electrical stimulus has been known since Volta fucking around with cow heads, I suppose things are made in paces not leaps but strapping a plastic apparatus to a manufactured muscle is hardly either of those.
I'm pretty sure my knees are going to be fucked by the time I'm a senior, due to family history, so if I could just replace my legs from the hip joints down by then, and it didn't kill me in a year from being too new a tech to be safe, I'd do it.
The thing that would be even better though, would be if limbs could be detached from what's connected to us, for easier maintenance, you'd have the part that's integrated with your body and then the limb, be it leg(s) or arm(s), which can attach and detach, for either maintenance, comfort, like sitting down without your legs maybe or for when you go to bed; imagine being able to clean your mechanical legs when you can handle them with both arms easily, then once you've cleaned them up, reattach them to yourself and you're good to go.
Isn't that how current prosthetics work already? As in a you have a permanent socket that they can be attached to and detached from.
Yeah but current prosthetics aren't as advanced as what they could be, movement is slow, "robotic" and basic, some of course are quicker and closer to organic movements, but we still have a little bit to go before we can get 1:1 limbs, right now it's more like 5:1, assuming I'm doing that right, I don't know. If you had limbs that were straight replacements that were part of your body which couldn't be taken off, they'd be easier to configure to act like they are part of your body, as opposed to detachable limbs, which would require something to recognize the limb you're attaching and either being standard or non-standard, like having a 3 finger hand instead of 5, but still behaving the way it should do without being like, whoa what the fuck is this.
This article isn't about augmentations, it's about robots with flesh limbs
westworld please!
Please evolve into Guyver biosuits please
