I just want to point out you're conflating Heroes of Might and Magic with Might and Magic. Heroes of Might and Magic is hardly dead yet, the last entry was in mid 2016 and they've consistently been releasing new ones for years before that. They just mostly sucked.
Just Might & Magic, not Heroes of Might & Magic. Heroes is the strategy series.

I like that Ubisoft decided to keep using him after they got the franchise from 3DO/NWC.
the last might and magic game I've played was Clash of Heroes on the DS and that was actually pretty fun. Not sure about this though.
I'd rather Arkane keep doing work on their own IPs, they tend to do a much better job when they have full creative range instead of having to comply to a generic, uninteresting fantasy setting.
And Arx Fatalis with Dark Messiah combat dynamics would be dope.
