I'm a big fan of the intro and the last two tracks. Pretty much the whole middle doesn't do it for me though. I appreciate the introspection but musically it just feels like he's coasting. Who knows though maybe it'll turn out like his last few albums and I'll fall in love with it like 2 years from now
lol anyone with the bravado to hop on stage and do the Swift is phyiscally incapable of being depressed -- in the common sense; and his exploration of its themes is just exploitative of its mainstream appeal

Solid release - I liked almost every single one. Interesting that both Pusha and Kanye decided to release short albums. Maybe it will become a trend that others will follow? I sort of appreciate the idea - it cuts out a lot of filler tracks that would otherwise bloat the album.
I'm not loving it as much as some of the tracks from Pablo (Mainly talking about No More Parties in LA (& Kanye needs to fucking collab with Madlib + Kendrick again) but it's really good. Low key and pleasing.
Crosspost from general music discussion thread:
On my second listen, I think Ye is more immediately likeable than Yeezus, and has some pretty compelling tracks. Not blown away, but overall an enjoying experience.
Middle gets a bit forgettable, which isn't great when its only 7 tracks, but I think "I Thought About Killing You" is pretty intriguing, and uniquely vulnerable in a way that only Kanye seems to be able to do. The last 2 tracks are also great, imo.
I was ready to dislike it, especially since his persona is finally getting irritating enough to bother even a long time fan like myself. But as usual the music speaks for itself.
Damn! He really does have some Dragon Energy!
Took a few listens, but I'm really starting to like it. Kinda wish there were more songs, but I feel like Kanye said everything he had to in these seven tracks.
This is GOOD music.
I can't believe anyone can tolerate anything that comes out of that man
Man, those first three tracks especially were really good. Ghost Town was great too.
Opening track is great and Violent Crimes is good too.
I always find myself liking the melody and whatnot, but god damn kanye can't sing/rap/we for shit
Opinions typically can't be wrong but this one is.
His singing really is pretty bad though.
Although Cudi's singing on Ghost Town is even worse. Can't wait for Kids See Ghost next week!
Is it a meme to like Kanye or something
objectively wrong, kayne sings well in Runaway/Lost in the World and raps well in Stronger/Jesus Walks/Monster/Power/Pt. 2/Famous
ghost town was under the kids album in the picture kanye took showing the tracklists, not under ye.
if ghost town is indicative of the quality in the kids album, wew boy.
I really like his artsy/experimental stuff like this
the stupid voice on all mine completely ruins it wow
