• Lack of items in the game

Hey, i have been a player for about two years now and ive spent most of my time pvping and from my point of view i see that there is a big lack of weapons in the game there should be other guns such as the M4 maybe for workbench lvl2 crafting so there is a SMG/Semi/Auto weapon for each tear and that way it would be a bigger variety of guns that players could use. The game has been out for about 5 years now and we still havent seen an introduction of a new sniper rifle, were stuck using the bolt action rifle. There also is a very limited ammount of atachments for weapons, i think grips would change the game such as the non craftable weapons did, they should add in a non craftable grip where lowers your recoil so you would stand a chance with most recoil on guns. Also a lack of different ammo types since most weapons dont use the right ammonition. Since the new diving gear i was thinking about maybe underwater mining where there would be different types of ore wich you can find deep under water and with you would be abale to run the vehicles in the game, not including the boat of course. There has to be more craftable items in the game cause you can finish the game from rock to Ak in a week and thats another reason why servers die out so fast, more craftable items means people would have to roam around a lot more so there wouldnt be dead servers after a week or so cause people would find ways of keeping their heads together and finding the needing materials Thanks and i hope you (facepunch) take notice in my thread!
You bring an interesting point, can't say I agree with everything you say, but in general I also think there should be a bigger arsenal for different situations, however I don't think what we have now is lack luster. In any case FP is actually implementing some other weaponry like the mortar (God I can't wait for it). When it comes to the availability of weapon types I agree that only having one sniper type rifle is, well saddening IMO. I don't really feel the need for another one but wouldn't mind having a new sniper either. What I had in mind was having 1 elite tier weapon for each type, elite tier being the ones you can't craft, just loot. A DSR for the sniper type for example, capable of penetrating up to sheet metal walls and hitting players behind it. Not much use for such a mechanic and probably would only end up on false hackusations BUUT I like the idea so I'm just laying it down. Having manned turrets and/or guided missiles would also end up being rather OP but nonetheless quite the fun acquisition. Grenade launchers, tasers, riot shields, kevlar (BTW my suggestions do fall into the elite tier gear, so not craftable, basically having the need to introduce more events and possibly PvE). About the attachments I also agree that there aren't enough, plus a third of them is... useless? Scopes and laser are really good, flashlight is nice too, but the silencer doesn't really benefit fighting, too much decreased damage, the muzzles give way too many disadvantages IMO. Before seeing more attachments added I would prefer having the current ones being useful in more cases. We don't really need more ammo types, this is a survival simulation game not a war simulation game like ARMA. Want to add more consumables? Grenades please. Tear gas for example (Add in gas masks too) would be a awesome new mechanic for raiding, tranquilizers if you're a solo and don't like being known (Makes enemy fall asleep for 5 IRL minutes, just an example, and you can loot him. After said time he wakes up naked, however it needs to be hit from a certain range to be effective, or multiple times). Smoke grenades are cool but in such an open environment they're simply not too useful, but I can see some cases where they could shine. Flashbangs... This is looking a lot like CS now but just imagine flashing a room before raiding... Cool no? :v I'm going overboard with this, and quite off-topic, but I also thought about having drills. Yeah to drill doors open. Making walls a lot sturdier while providing a countless amount of traps would really make raiding a lot more fun, because I don't know about you but bursting down through a ceiling and finding the loot room isn't the same as avoiding all traps and blowing that one door down to find it all, possibly trapped.
I also agree to a point. In my humble opinion there should be less tech weapons and a greater choice of crude weaponry. Muzzel loaders, catapults, sling shots and such. If you want high end weaponry go play CoD. Rust = Survival. Crafting things out of ear wax and body hair.

new weapons? I can not collect metal on ac47. I wanted to offer a new kind of weapon for a long time. not when it's not too late to add it.
sorry mate i couldnt understand what you ment by cant gather metal from aks or what? cause i was mostly making the point in that we need more variety of weapons in the game cause so far there are such a limited ammount of weapons and it makes it kindda boring running around with the same waepon over and over again, maybe if they did an update where they added in eatleast 5 new weapon varients taht would make the game way more enjoyable.
with agree stoboi. that you need to add more weapons to the game. you understand. that I alone can not find or make weapons. this is ac. constant vaipes. boring. empty servers. onlain where there are 10-20 people. all this prevents me from playing. if you play more. 50 onlain. me quickly reidyat. There is no game.
