• Good dedicated music player?

I just recently got a pair of Sony WH-H900N and am absolutely addicted to music. I am constantly listening to my library and I have hated having to fill my phones memory with music and only getting 4 hours battery. I was in the looks for a good Bluetooth enabled dedicated music player I can put 64-128gb SD card into. That way I can get 30 some odd hours of battery and so I can use one device for my music instead of repairing my headphones to every device or copying songs from one computer to another. Unfortunately any half decent music player is over $200. I spent an entires week paycheck on the headphones already and was wondering if you guys know of any good dedicated MP3 players. The best looking one I've found at an achievable price is the Sony Walkman A40. Everyone that's cheaper has a huge downside like no bluetooth or only supporting a 32gb memory card etc.
I've had my FiiO X3 for around 2 years now, I used to own the previous gen for around 5 years and that never faulted. Solid design and feel.
Yeah I saw that. It's only a little bit cheaper than the Walkman which totes aptx and ldac and the likes... That's why I didn't bite the bullet with that one
Both are some serious hardware, the Sony one is visually beautiful and will definitely attract some attention.
Yeah and part of me wants to just cut out Bluetooth anyways due to compression but at the same time it's exceptionally convenient when I don't necessarily need it to be perfectly clear like in my car. Both are indeed good looking devices but I am exceptionally interested in the Walkman for its design.
The Sony uses Bluetooth 4.2 and the FiiO uses Bluetooth 4.1, both have a high transfer rate so you really won't lose quality
Well both my headphones and the Walkman support ldac which is a Sony feature that streams higher quality and frequency over Bluetooth. At the similar price that's the main reason I'd go with the Walkman. I could go without all that though if there was just an all around good audio player in the $100 price range.
XMplay is no-bullshit and plays many filetypes if you care about trackers at all, but i use it more for general purpose than anything else and i haven't looked back
