Is this just me? I make threads sometimes and they deny me from fully making them until I remove the apostrophe. you can see this really awkwardly in the george takei thread I made a little while ago

other threads don't have this problem?

not super clear to me why. is this a weird bug only with PD/SH?
I think it only happens when copy/pasting into the title field from articles, because of a special character that's used in place of the normal apostrophe. If you remove the apostrophe and type in your own, it should work?
You used an apostrophe in this thread's title.
The actual issue though is that there's different kinds of apostrophes and one of the commonly used ones on a lot of sites is one of the types that isn't allowed.
ah okay I guess nevermind then problem solved
problem NOT solved why can't thread titles be allowed that special character? Is there a reason for it?
On a side note for when someone gets to fixing that character. There's a set of curly stylized quotation marks that are going to fall into the same boat. I believe it's reproducible with that default wordpad equivalent program in Mac that I don't remember the name of atm
It's probably a side effect of Quill or Garry not wanting to properly support Unicode in the site's database since, from what I recall, it's a pain in the ass to setup UTF-8 in databases. It's far easier to just disallow Unicode characters. Though considering people use emoji (which are Unicode characters) all the time on the site who knows what the actual reason behind it is.
