Garry's up to no good.
that was...helpfull? hl2.exe is for sure no virus. I would say your "Malwarebytes", which i never heard of before...is just dumb.
Avast did this to me once before as well. Just add it to your exclusions list, it's a false positive.
You must be joking.
Mate i dont know every existing antivirus.
Probably has something to with how Garrys mod can literally run most kind of code out there, it probably gets pissed at GMod's DLL binding stuff, which is pretty dynamic.
I'd imagine people are probably taking more issue with the fact that you're calling it dumb without an ounce of research - not whether or not you know the antivirus. All antiviruses will pick up false positives - not just Malwarebytes.
i called it dumb on the one case. No idea how good it is in generell. But dumb on calling hl2.exe a randsomware
Joke. Malwarebytes is a super respected program. It's also not quite an anti-virus, but an anti-malware program. Many known tech sites praise the program and suggest to do some scans with it sometimes with your regular antivirus still staying in the computer. I can't believe you haven't heard of it.
like i said, i dont know ehery single programm
