This is very inspired by Espionage Wars and is not meant to be a copy in anyway shape or form, we highly encourage you to check out the OG threads here on FP or, probably a better idea, to check out the latest thread on Metrocop. Its a good community with plenty of experienced users in both SFM and Gmod who offer some fun RP.
Espionage Wars V7
THE YEAR IS 2018
Russia's economy is in ruins, its republics scattered. Tensions hang on a thread that anyone could cut anytime, dooming the country into a slow, hard descent into anarchic civil war.
The United States of America has lost its grip on Asia, with only the Philippines and Japan harbouring what the US can put in the hemisphere. The Texan and Californian Independence movemenst have grown in popularity, especially during a time where the divisive Presidency has resulted in many militias in the US going actively hostile. The government struggles to deal with so many potential Wacos at once.
The EU is falling apart. The Northern countries have started to rise, with Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Poland, the UK and Ireland's economies becoming stronger and production rates increasing, whilst the Southern Hemisphere starts to fall as various conflicts arise. France deals with local uprisings, Spain is in major political turmoil, Greece suffers from corruption and economic issues, the list goes on and on. However, factionalism is not rising. Nations continue to work together more than they would have done pre-EU. The EU's legacy leaves a positive effect on the continent.
The Balkans are a smoking mess. The 2016 War that ravaged Bosnia and nearly seeped over the borders has created a DMZ spread across the country. Tensions are high and life in Bosnia is tough.
As the world changes, our focus falls on 4 vitally important countries in this turbulent time. Each of them has a history of anger, violence and massive social change but due to the mysterious of history and the forseeable future, they are all part of the same story. A story without end.... unless those Russian nukes go missing.

'The Tchvonian People's Navy began their summerly naval exercises in the Kara Sea. With the peak amount of ice now receeded up North more the trials can begin, also joining in is CTF 1 and the newly formed CTF 5 which is finally ready for active service after over a year of gaining their sea legs. Here we see a pair of Su-35's taking off from CTF 1's carrier, the TPNSS Kara Sea.
We'll be sure to get those pictures of CTF 5 up as soon as we can, as many are looking forward to how the TPNSS Aleksandra Veselov will preform its duties.'

Mercenaries in the Bingshuongla region in Sumatra continue their patrols through the undergrowth surrounding villages paying to be protected from native attacks. The patrols are led by local townspeople but it is unknown wether or not this will help. Conscripts are on hand if the region ends up falling into conflict for the second time in a decade.
"The war for Turkey concluded, the ERR with some aid from allies managed to capture most of the western coast line - but at a high cost which would inevitably end the war. Since, the ERR has dealt with problems with refugees, and dealing with radical Turks still within their territory, rebuilding has begun and rearmament programs are in place - but with rocky situations both at home and abroad, only time will tell whether the ERR will be prepared for the future."

"The URR now isolationist, has been struggling with the fact they lost the 2016 war in Bosnia or as also known 'Second Bosnian War'. The economy stagnated and generals and their legates became impatience with their leaders. The DMZ was draining money while they still had to send men to fight the war in Turkey on behalf of the ERR - however ethnic tensions are rising. The Dacians of the URR are becoming more distrustful of the ERR which is dominated mainly by Thracians. Time has come to regain lost glory and become the true successor of the fallen Rome."

Tsardom forces rest around a campfire on the northern border of Aceh, the troubled wartorn region of North Sumatra. Only two weeks into their Joint-Training-Operation with the Sumatran Army, they've got a few weeks left before they can head down South to enjoy the many tourist resorts completely open to them for free as Military Allies

South Africa - Near the South Eastern Coast
The conflict in South Africa continues to rage on as the government and various rebel factions find themselves facing off against multiple foreign threats encroaching on their soil.
Various men of races and languages unheard of in the area have been attacking and capturing various outposts and territories owned by ethier government or rebel forces using modern and old weaponery, often being used together.
Without flags or logos shown the SAfrican government is accusing its old enemy, Greater Sumatra, of supplying the attackers and possibly being the mastermind of this new threat. G.S refused to open contact with South Africa and refused to explain the Chieftan tanks arriving in the warzone.
With nowhere truly quiet and safe, more and more refugees and citizens attempt to cross borders and head towards Sumatra or India in order to escape the conflicts.
Sumatran Conscripts explain to some passing Tsardom soldiers how they dealt with some Ukranian rebels.
Ukraine was absorbed into the Tsardom last year and rebel activity continues to be a minor hassle as hundreds of conscripts and Volhynian soldiers deal with the remaining menaces

The urban criminal scene of Greater Sumatra
Crime is unfortunately always going to exist no matter where you go, even the darkest depths of North Korea or in the past of Pinochet's chile, so the military dominated sprawling island that is G.S is infected with a large criminal underworld, especially with a foreign influx of firearms and drugs. When bands of criminals join together, they often take the form of gangs. Lets have a look at a few.
The gangs of G.S range from ex-paramilitary groups turned Narco to street thugs that got older and started treating their job of wanton violence a little too seriously, they're nearly all dangerous or a threat to stability of law and order. This doesn't mean, thankfully, they're all effective.
Various urban areas are held by gang members when there isn't a police or military presence, usually warehouses or abandoned construction sites. They use these locations to ethier live or secure their belongings as most gang members don't have homes to go back too.
Some of the criminal groups aren't actually anti-military as a number of these organizations have a sizeable number of no longer active servicemen. Whilst most veterans interested in seeing more conflict would usually join a PMC or a paramilitary, some just want to hang around with some other guys and drive around blasting at whoever commits crimes themselves. These men calls themselves Vigilantes and are usually the most organized of the bunch.
A photo taken of two vigilantes as police lights fill up the empty car park they stand in.

BRUNEI
Two Sumatran Marines have a, according to the police's report afterwards, "Light scuffle with neighbourhood ruffians over a light gentlemen's disagreement"
Whilst the police had a nice few minutes of amusement as the two dudes did the beating for them (having wanted to watch the beach thieves red handed for weeks), they eventually had to lead the Marines away to a refreshment bar before journalists could arrive.

Plantation, East of New Brackley
Militia members argue with local plantation owners over an incident 2 days earlier, a white worker had been fired for uttering a racial curse in unknown circumstances. Protesters arrived the next day and armed men arrived the day after. Police were about to be called, but suddenly they received a bizarre and attention drawing visit from a celebrity among the armed populace.
General Chidike Ajanlekoko, head of many African associations throughout the country and a major military figure, stepped into the fray and grabbed the handguard of a footsoldier, the men looking up in shock, their immediate shock tempered by the familar face.
"Gentlemen, do you honestly think that this is de the best way to do this? It has only been two days, has none of you considered filing a counter report, alerting the press? Even for a moment, thought, maybe I should not pick up the weapon i keep to protect myself and head out to confront people doing nothing more than crossing out a name on a sheet?
I have no thoughts for dah matter you are arguing about but, for the love of the border, do not turn on each other. We must all stand together to use these weapons on the ones who deserve such pain, not our fellow countryfolk."

Chidike , commonly known as "The African Avenger" or "The Rockstar Soldier", is an extremely popular figure in G.S's black, african and military culture due to his slightly eccentric, aggressive yet morally proud way of life and never ending military service.
Even though it is common knoweldge that most of the armies in G.S vote for the military party, Chidike being a figure that stands up for all of them, it was a momentous occasion when a black soldier, live on television, was being interviewed by a young reporter from a nearby service families lodging whilst he and his 'staff' enjoyed a quick break from patrolling around Lake Toba.....
"Sir, what is your position on the recent elections at hand?"
"De only gud choice is de Military Partay."
cameraman has to right himself for a split second as cameras start clicking, this being the first time someone as high as a general as broken the no pubic politics rule on the very shores of Lake Toba for over 6 years
"My my, where did this come from?"
"Ha, an easy question my byootiful gawl. Why would de Military Partay not be de best choice for Sumatra? My beautiful country will only remain beautiful if de Military comes back to powa! Not only have de membas of de Party proven demselves to be betta than their opponents, dey have proven to have supported our people and deh families but most importantly, dey honor and help our allies abroad, always open to deals with de countries around us except for dem lot.... If it wazan't for de military partay, we would not have our allies in de west nor would I be able to say dis live on TV. Now, i'm off to PARTAY GAL!"
Chidike's PR team refused to comment on the situation following the interview with the soldier, debate continues online.

Pictured: A Sumatran tags along with some soldiers of the Kuril Republic as they storm an extremist insurgent hideout. The two republics have traded together for a few decades but it is only recently that military co-coordination has been considered.
Members of the Miltary Party have come out with positive comments on the joint workings whilst the Conservative party decried it as "Foreign intervention"

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
CGM forces, having won the war for the country itself and having largely won against the Dominican Rebellion Army, continue to hunt down the stragglers of the movement. Whilst the larger civilian element may have surrended, died or fleed back to their homes, the die hard military wing continue to fight on as they slowly make their way to safer shores abroad, hoping one day to return or to at least die fighting, where ever that may be.
However the CGM troops are equals, not lessers, resulting in a fairly equal kill rate between the two unless the CGM forces are in an advantageous position which they often are.
The remaining elements of the DRA largely have acknowledged their defeat and have left the island. The DR has been left in the hands of the CGM, do as they might.
