Worlds Adrift
Infinite islands populate an endless sky. What happened? Why? When? Such answers have been lost to the ruins of bygone civilisations. Your only hope is the traverse these strange but beautiful lands in search of an answer. One that's perhaps best left forgotten...
Have no doubt. The skies are treacherous and there's only one way to navigate them - at the helm of your own skyship. But where to find one? Explore the lands and ransack ruins, in an attempt to discover the learnings of those that came before. Though, the question remains: have you the leadership to rally a crew?
While the shattered remains of Foundation are beyond all hope of reform, the same fate needn't be shared by its people. There are those that dream of a new civilisation amongst the clouds. Will you take up the call and bring order to the world? Or will you revel in the chaos, to serve your own diabolical gain?
Imagine Sea of thieves, but with actual progression, grappling-hooks, some of those humorless pvp-centric eastern-european cunts, and instruments yet. I'm having a good time with it, thought i'd make the thread since it didn't exist yet.
What a coincidence, ended up buying this game after being tempted for like a year seeing it constantly recommended to me in the steam store, from what I've played so far it's pretty fucking solid, not to mention beautiful.

Also attempting to fly into this wall of wind wasn't the best idea

REALLY considering getting it.
Consider putting more information about how how physics based the game is in the OP, because when I think of an early access title I think of janky controls and unresponsiveness but this game has some of the smoothest movement I've played, you can scale walls and climb on the undersides of the island and that's without the amazing grapple hook.
Wish there was voice chat though.
Yea, that actually does need to be said, thanks ebonyboy
Is the community still garbage? IIRC I read some rumblings some months ago how people who built top-tier ships just went to the starting area and fucked with new players trying to scrape a sailboat together.
I have not witnessed such things. Not while Playing on the Repulsa server anyway.
I thought two engines would be enough to get through a wind wall.
I am not very smart.
Getting through a windwall really only relies on weight and engine power. Weight lets you not get punched around by the force of the wind. And Engine power lets you break through the wind. A compass helps a whole lot too, but its hard to find.
Sometimes you can really tell this game was made by the same guys who made Surgeon Simulator.
Well I just went on one hell of an adventure. I went into a storm wall and because of how much it threw me around I could only occasionally keep one out of my four engines running. Through some act of god I actually managed to get to the other side before my single engine spun me back into the storm and destroyed my ship.
Apparently this is enough for the game to decide to respawn me into the remnants.
