Why the actual fuck would you blame the actress for her character being shit? Her performance was the embodiment of 'alright I guess', and she was absolutely not the problem that was with Rose as a character. Fuckin' go harass the writers if you really feel you gotta harass someone because they made something in a way you didn't like.

Really? You didn't see any issue with the character whose defining moments in the film were;
'Freeing space ponies' and 'preventing a character who hasn't done a lot all film from fulfilling a character arc'. The Actress had nothing to work with because the Character she was playing had no purpose in the film in the slightest beyond being a shoe-horned love interest for Finn.

Unfortunately this is nothing new about the SW fandom. It's just another thing to put on a ever growing list of shit done because they didn't like a movie. Fucking pathetic
FinnRey makes up a neat half of the FinnReyRen love-triangle. They managed to allude to some attraction between Rey and Ren, and I was intrigued and almost invested. It was better than just ham-stringing character development, damning the entire Resistance and then kissing Finn on the mouth. There's a comic somewhere that perfectly details it but I dunno if it's postable in a news thread.
I just don't get what's so hard about not harassing people over petty shit like this. I've seen multiple franchises I dearly love taken in directions I strongly dislike (including Star Wars), but I realize that in the end it's all just a bunch of movies and video games and go about my day.

I like to theorize that it's hard to do this to someone who has done the song and dance of responding to hate-mail for more times there needs to be ie the writer and the director. So they go after the "small fry" attached to the film for literally just to be there and do a job. "If Rian doesn't respond, then I'll go after someone else to hear my cries for attention about how TLJ was awful and ruined Star Wars forever!"
There is nothing free from this shit anymore. You can't state any opinion about anything on social media, if you have any following and sometimes not even that will save you, without getting harassed by some insecure dickwads.
I feel bad for her, like it's not her fault she was given a bad role and character, that fault belongs to idiots way above her pay grade. She's objectively a nice person and a good access in my opinion.

Basically, her character added almost nothing to the movie by itself, and I feel like if Poe had filled her role, it would've made the movie better.
Especially regarding Finn's attempted heroic sacrifice in one of the climaxes, Poe preventing Finn from killing himself because Liea ordered him not to do it would've been a perfect demonstration of the character development Poe went through in the movie, but nah arbitrary love interest.
Like yeah, the character was awful, but she didn't really have much control over her character being useless. She was just there to do a job. And it wouldn't make a difference even if she had because the rest of the movie had a lot wrong with it. And even then its not alright to do this to someone. I honestly couldn't even tell you anything about her performance because the character she had to play was so bad it overshadowed her ability as an actress with is rather unfortunate for her.
Because degenerates of the sort who harassed her barely qualify as sapient. They certainly don't have the capacity for critical thought to make that distinction.
