I mean, honestly, I feel like part of the problem with his Joker was that we just... didn't see enough to get a good feel for him. We only had the visual to go off of, never really had a chance to get to know his version very well. I wanna be optimistic and hope a solo movie can change my perception of that.

His role in 2049 was considered and actually good, whereas his role in Suicide Squad is if hot topic watched 2 minutes of The Dark Knight.
