oh my god another killdozer
I was gonna say. The anniversary of that was yesterday.
Shawn Nelson part 2? That guy also grabbed a military vehicle.
He surrendered. http://www.richmond.com/news/local/crime/man-who-led-police-on-chase-in-armored-personnel-carrier/article_08af17e1-a037-56fa-8f0c-06d3a7c00394.html A hero to us all.
Well I hope they either have a really nice roadblock or a 50 laying around...
Looks like an M577 Command Variant of an M113 APC.
Holy shit, I used to live just off of Broad Street. If it passed by Meadow coming from I-95, it would have literally passed right by my apartment. Also, right past the State Capitol. I imagine the capitol police put it on lockdown.
That video is fucking hilarious. For such a massive vehicle it looks like it’s going way faster than it should. Im just imaging it it playing Benny hill or ride of the valkyries from a loudspeaker
Yeah his life was practically ruined by the local city gov't.
clearly he just wanted to know what perfection was, as the m113 gavin is perfection.
i wounder if my cousin-in-law was on this
what was the goal
Why is it that US always has inetiquette response to a tank, like they should be calling the national guard for these situations right? Like what if its an armed tank? A police cruiser/swat van is gonna do shit to a freaking tank
First of all it has no weaponry second of all this bearcat is more than capable of stopping it https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107090/c754d7f8-10c7-4afa-82dd-2ca18998fac3/Screenshot_2.png
Mike Sparks the absolute madman
I know a couple of police agencies that have .50BMG rifles, mostly for giggles but totally capable if needed. A good sharpshooter with a .50 will kill who might be in the tank, or at least disable it.
It depends on the armour thickness.
Which in this case is fairly thin aluminum...
Think it's more of...why divert military forces to something that hasn't taken a horrible turn yet. I'm sure they know if it's armed or not...and if it was, I'm sure the NG would be on it like flies on shit.
I imagine it's probably only really good for up to say, 7.62 or similar small arms caliber.
The Romans would be disappointed with you. I wonder what his master plan was? Perhaps he was just extremely drunk, or something, but I imagine he actually had some end goal.
How hard are these to operate? Does it take any former training or knowledge, or is it basically just like any other vehicle? Still. What a fucking madman. I really do wonder what his motivations were, and it's nice that no one got injured.
Trust me, it physically hurt to type it that way.
Yeah I mean, it has no visible weaponry and hasn't hurt anyone yet, seems like the best thing to do would be to just follow it until it runs out of petrol, its not like it's going out outrun you.
Why bother getting in line with GDPR if you can just block anyone protected by it?
The weird thing is this wasn't some random fucking guy, he's got more then 11 years of service in the national guard and has been deployed to afghan. "Yabut - a first lieutenant assigned as the commander of the Petersburg-based Headquarters Company, 276th Engineer Battalion"
Shawn Nelson was a disgruntled suicidal veteran. Could be something happened to piss this guy off.
"We can't monetize your existence so go away."
If it's anything like most military vehicles it's probably as simple or more simple than your average road vehicle.
