i literally never saw a player getting vac banned on gmod. No matter how hard they used hacks or did anything. good vac

you sure that was vac? from what i know as soon as vac detected you cheating they just instantly ban you forever
What gamemode are you running? A BHOP server? Or something like DarkRP?
Bunny hopping != bunny hopping script - you can still legitimately bhop or use a lua script/key macro.
Could have been a custom anti-cheat which just used the VAC messages or faked them. I remember a bug (?) or a command (not sure) which closed GMod with a VAC message.

You can turn down your server's air accelerate.
Like the person above stated, you can turn down air accelerate.

That is the default value, I couldn't find much information online about what happends if you lower it, I only saw videos of people with extremely high values. It has to do with movement though, maybe it will feel less responsive at lower values. Mess around with it and see what happends.
lower the airaccelerate value, the less your movement moves you when you are in air. a value of 0 means you cannot change direction in the air or strafe in the air at all, and would essentially make bhopping useless. it technically wont stop bunnyhopping.
