Even though he chatted shit, May says he won't get banged https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/jun/08/ex-tory-leader-howard-defends-johnsons-criticism-of-treasury-over-brexit
"Imagine Trump doing Brexit,” Johnson said. “He’d go in bloody hard… There’d be all sorts of breakdowns, all sorts of chaos. Everyone would think he’d gone mad. But actually you might get somewhere. It’s a very, very good thought.” Please no.
Trump’s already about to get America dog piled under retaliatory tariffs, he needs to lead Brexit like I need a hole in the head.
Oh my god who the fuck thinks like that. "It'd be all sorts of chaos and shit but maybe you'd get somewhere good."
"He ridiculed the concerns about disruption at the borders as “pure millennium bug stuff” and said it’s “beyond belief” that the Northern Ireland border has become an obstacle in the negotiations." What an utter moron, Jesus Christ how is he still in the government?
Scum floats to the top
The Brexit wing of the government is far too powerful for May to go against.
because the status quo is something incomprehensibly awful for rich, aristocratic white guys
This doof already looks like a discount Trump. Not to say that Trump-branded products don't immediately depreciate in value anyway.
I heard about this on the news when I was working today, what a bellend, but the government is even fucking worse, their response was basically "That's horrible, you shouldn't have been recording him". The country is fucked and the government knows it, but they can't back away because they're holding onto power by a gnats arse hair. I hope the EU makes it harder for them now, we're obviously in no position to negotiate our own terms, the EU holds all the cards.
It's a good fucking job this guy isn't PM. The 'chaos' approach will effectively be shooting ourselves in the foot for nothing and cause misery and pockets of anarchy in our formerly civilised and respected nation, not to mention in Ireland who are also unwilling victims in all this shit. All this tyranny is still based on a 48/52 vote. It's straight up insanity. You'd think that a softly softly Brexit would be the maximum sanctioned by an essential 50/50 split. There is absolutely no mandate for ripping out the kidneys and lungs of the body of this country, in the vain and utterly made up hope of replacing them with some magical new organs.
Someone with no skin in the game. It's easy to take a gamble on chaos when the worst that can happen to you personally is an earlier and ever so slightly less cushy retirement.
You know there's a problem when they're more concerned that they were caught saying dumb shit, than they are with the dumb shit they were just caught saying.
Could you imagine if it actually happened though? Trump seceding from the actual United States of fucking America to form his own pussy nation full of his little cronies
haha classic Bozza haha look here he is on a zipline so funny haha funny bumbly old Bozza haha here he is tackling school children haha wow what a laugh here he is admitting to wanting to push the country into meltdown and piss off our neighbours and allies haha wait that isn't funny
Was he lobotomized at birth to come up with an "idea" like that? isn't the damage done enough already?
The new age of politics, abruptly tear down decades of institution and trust with disregard for any consequences because "you might get somewhere".
Oh, I think you know who thinks like that. Rhymes with 'shmoil shmig'.
Don't expect Boris Johnson to be punished for anything ever. He's ranted about his version of Brexit before, he's criticised the other departments of the current government, and he essentially trots around with a holier-than-thou attitude concealed below a fake personality of "oh look how silly and goofy i am". At this point, it's been established that Theresa May is the superficial Prime Minister but strings are clearly being pulled.
Which leads us back to our starting point: why is May of all people «enacting»brexit? I can see she won a snap election but two years into this trainwreck and we still haven't seen as little as a coherent stance on the matter come out of her. No progress was made since Cameron left 10ds
"Chaos is a laddah" boris been watching too much game of thrones.
Because it's the only chance the Conservative party have at keeping power, the whole Brexit farce is just Tory party politics blown over. Cameron wanted to prove that the UK should stay in the EU to bolster his base in the party, and it backfired horribly. Those whom had been pushing the whole idea rapidly ran away from the idea of having to put it into action, and we got May instead.
