• Censorship of Rust Content Creators

Demonetization is undeniably a huge issue in the Rust community. Many of the prominent members of the creator community have discussed this issue and, quite frankly, it needs to be addressed. Many of my friends won't consider getting the game because of the sub-par censorship of nudity (seriously, just add an option for underwear), and that is the main reason that content is demonetized or removed from YouTube/Twitch. Facepunch, please look at this issue and find a suitable solution. I mean, an underwear model that is enabled through the settings can't be that hard to implement, right? Regards, Dallin
Or just go to settings and have censor nudity on, works quite well if you ask me.
Sorry, but the problem isn't really the developers responsibility to fix. This is only an issue because YouTube and Twitch deem it so, and as this game wasn't designed to be 'family stream and ad revenue friendly' I'm afraid you're just barking up the wrong tree. I guess I can sympathise, but at the end of the day I think you and your friends should get the game only if you enjoy it, not because you just want to stream it or anything.
Stream something else?
Honestly though, FP could add the underwear instead of the ugly pixelized thing. Probably not something easily done but the pixels really tick me off x'D
At one time the censorship option gave nakeds pants instead of the blur. This was because in legacy Rust under the old sky system they had, it used up one of Unity's render cameras, and as a result the devs didn't have a spare camera to occlude the censor pixels properly. This meant that anyone with a penis blur was visible through walls and any other type of obstacle if they were within visual range. ESPenis hacks! So the devs put pants on people if the censor option was enabled. That's no longer a problem and so the blurred freak flags are once again flapping.
