• Why don't we have an official way to stop skin downloads yet?

It's sort of frustrating this issue has persisted for this long.  [There is over 1,200 skins](https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=252490&browsesort=accepted&section=mtxitems) each being a few MB big, and you will download a large amount of them during gameplay.  There was an unofficial way to stop skin downloads by setting steam to only download at a set time you don't play, however it stopped working several weeks ago. The only method I know of that can stop skin downloads is mentioned here. https://imgur.com/a/ZMpXmyn I'm sorry for asking about this [same](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogdqjbroUUI&feature=youtu.be) [issue](https://en.reddit.com/r/playrust/comments/6ouj2e/as_of_now_we_have_640_skins_but_no_way_to/) which has existed for over a [year](https://en.reddit.com/r/playrust/comments/6dm88o/suggestion_button_that_will_download_all_accepted/) now. It's an extremely unwelcoming experience to new players who may feel like they don't have the right PC for the game due to the constant stuttering. And it's frustrating for everyone who has to deal with it. Facepunch, I beg you. I understand if your hands are full and if you need more time. I ask for some sort of solution to this issue. An option to completely disable downloads seems like the easiest fix to this problem.
I simply agree with this 100%, but if you can already do it, why won't you? It isn't even that hard to implement that method
The reason why I'm asking for an official way to stop skin downloads is to help out newer players. As mentioned earlier, it's a very undesirable first experience for new players, and the fact that they will suffer stutters over 1200 times means they will think they don't have a good computer for the game. Once they do figure out it's the skins downloading, they wouldn't know how to download it because the method mentioned here isn't found by searching. It is important to keep in mind that the previous method of disabling skin downloads was fixed. I'm not trying to point out Facepunch here, but I think it's ridiculous the skin issue has persisted for over a year now. Downloading skins while you are playing is a very unpleasant experience due to stutters, and all the more frustrating when players have to discover an unofficial way to stop downloads because of how bad it is.
Ohhh yeah makes sense, I once had a bad computer and had that very same issue, but I upgraded so I never felt the issue anymore
