Hey Facepunch, I have a few friends that are really interested in Rust but the fact that there are force wipes throws them off. How close are we to a wipeless rust?
Well if you look at the games current state, where a wipe is 2 days overdue I think we'll be seeing more of this in the future :')
Lol. Rust will never be wipelesss. After 2 week map turns something over loaded and become un playable
Rust will never be wipeless unless Unity becomes able to handle an infinitely high arbitrary number of entities/physics colliders/etc. without turning performance into garbage. It could be accomplished if very aggressive decay occurred, but most players don't like decay because it's like being offline-raided by the clock.
