Some indie team was making a spiritual successor to it, haven't heard anything in a while though.
Chrome hounds was fun as fuck, i used to make a fast flank sniper and put all the cannons in the center of the body and make like a crane arm off to the side to house the cockpit. The recoil from being totally center completely negated any sway.

Modular Assault Vehicle. Still in development and the dev is still sending out weekly State of the Game emails. I haven't had the courage to pick it up yet. Chromehounds was so dear to my heart I worry nothing can ever live up to it.
