Like the title says, I want to see how high of a number we can find. I've got a policy of never unadding anyone I ever add to steam, which means I've got a ton of friends who haven't been online in more than a decade. The sad thing is that I remember playing with them and all the fun we had together, and one day they just never logged on again. Post a screenshot of their page. They have to be added to your friends list, you can't just find some old steam profile. Here's mine: 3689 days, or a little over ten years. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/232249/a35fe918-75fa-4322-a047-ca044d0900d8/ooold2.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/232249/b4245733-045e-4772-bc52-eae2ab57f82f/olddd.jpg

https://i.imgur.com/kkkOcUO.png i bought an irl friend counter strike and they didn't have much interest, and promptly forgot all their log-in information
From my old Steam account. I miss that account immensely because I made some quasi-friends via TF2 and L4D2 and, even if we didn't talk much, it was nice to see them online. I think I met this lad through L4D2. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/218809/58c2fdb7-6822-4a91-8dce-33941ecdaa65/steam.jpg
Only person on my account that hasn't logged in in a few years is a guy i used to play games with. He passed away unexpectedly.
Disturbing to know if a Steam friend passed away, you'd never hear about it in most cases.
One who has beeb kast seeb 4273 day ago.
Steam Community Not sure who he might be, I think he added me, but that name alone gets me cracking every time.

https://i.imgur.com/7AChmAr.png One day just up and disappeared without a word. Shame, as he was one of my better and only internet friends who I would talk with daily.
Ugh, I had something like this happen when I was ~13. I had a friend that I talked to every day, and then one day he just up and disappeared. The worst thing is, I was super torn up about it, but now I don't even remember his name. I didn't remember him at all until this thread. How much other stuff like that did I forget?
https://i.imgur.com/sWR5nhj.png I don't remember this person. Must have been the CSS days. Their profile isn't setup so not worth while posting that.
I deleted the person. But he was gone for over 800 days
https://my.mixtape.moe/trskjm.png both facepunchers. left one disappeared completely, right one died
A good friend of mine who used to play games with me was last online 81 days ago. Everyone else was last online within the last 72 hours. I did remove someone for not being online for 3 years in a row recently
It's always kind of sad seeing people you've talked to just up and leave with no word and you have no way of knowing what happened. This was from my days in 2006-2017 of playing Half Life 2 Deathmatch. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/229929/4177923a-2bdf-4d61-8cb5-553ffeff5809/Capture.PNG
They don't have to be offline in order to no longer be there.

Do you guys find yourselves actively avoiding messaging people so you dont have to go through that catching up chat?

https://i.imgur.com/ahaLLno.png It's been so long Steam forgot....
https://b.catgirlsare.sexy/lVOD.png it's my other account i did have someone who passed away in 2015, but i removed them at some point afterwards. i regret doing that.
Never had the heart to remove the person on my list who passed away. The idea felt wrong, specially knowing how he passed.
I have a guy I used to know on my friends list who has been offline so long he never set up his Steam Community profile so I don't know the exact amount of time he has been offline. I think it's gotta be around a decade at this point because I know I haven't seen him online since a little before I graduated from High School and that was in 2007.
https://i.imgur.com/y0xOUuF.png Don't remember a thing about this guy, I just never remove people.
I guess a stopped clock truly is still right twice a day, his name would pass as an up to date memetic joke right now.

I remember this was a bot my friends and I set up for some reason. Thankfully no depressing story behind it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/230993/0e84d490-b720-437f-ba7a-4bd05d070a9c/pudge.PNG
