• Guitar Tab Creator I'm Making

I'm making a site for creating simple but (hopefully) nice looking guitar tabs quickly and easily, because I find writing pure text tabs annoying and I couldn't find a decent tool for this that worked the way I want. It's a long way from finished but I wanted to get some feedback in case there's anything obvious missing, so it would be cool if people could give it a look (ideally people who play guitar/use tabs). The way it looks is all placeholder so don't worry about that for now, just want to know if people find it easy enough to use and if you can do all the stuff you want to. I'm posting here rather than the programming section because I want feedback from people that use tabs and know how they should work. Anyway you can find it here.
Just wondering, you weren't a fan of Guitar Pro? I've tried tabbing on it and it seemed pretty decent from what I remember
I know of it but I've never used it, it's not free though is it? I'm sure that's more heavy duty than what I'm intending to make though. I just want to make something a bit better than plain text tabs.
It is a full fledged software so you're right in that it's more heavy duty, but it also has the ability to write in the accompanying rhythms. It's a pretty powerful software, but you're right, it's not free and more heavy duty. Not sure if there's an online version of it.
I find text tabs are usually fine for my purposes. Features like being able to have it play the tab are nice but mainly I just want to be able to jot down stuff as I work it out etc. It did cross my mind to enable exporting to text, will probably do that down the line. But there's other stuff I want to do first, like actually allowing you to save tabs and probably have some login (with google account or whatever) so you can save your tabs and view them in 1 place. And yeah there's a few things on the todo list like muted notes, vibrato, harmonics. Can definitely allow X's.
Good work man, easy to use. Keep it up.
That looks interesting. Good job!!
A bit late but yeah the tool is easy to use and functionalities are well implemented. However, by looking at the previous posts mentioning guitar pro (Guitar Pro 7.5 costs €69.95), you don't seem to know TuxGuitar. It's free, I think it's open source yet not 100% sure. Score and tab editing available, you can display both, only one, multitrack, playback, well free guitar pro actually. Have a look
I know I'm a bit late but I did not know about this one- thanks! I had a friend who was asking about Guitar Pro but didn't seem interested in paying, they'll definitely like this. Any updates on OP's side?
