I was looking forward to Jason X, real shame...

The Jason X universe novels (yes you read that right) are really fucking good pulpy sci-fi that most people never gave a look for fairly obvious reasons
man, this game had everything going for it. it just passed it's 1 year anniversary a few weeks ago too :/
I hope it's not too late to at least check this game out. I've always wanted to see a Friday the 13th game with multiplayer would play out.

They were too prideful to sell a license to the Dead by Daylight to get Jason in the game, so they tried to compete with it and ended up making a vastly inferior product.
DbD is just as much of a shitshow. At least Jason kills people, DbD is Michael Myers getting pallet-looped all game before hanging someone on a spike so a spider can eat them. Not defending how F13 was run, because it was a mess, but at least it delivered the premise of a asymmetrical slasher game.
This game has incredible balance issues. Honestly, it's only worth playing with friends for fun and with specific rules put in place (such as give people time to break from your grab instead of you just instant killing them instantly) and some other things.
People heard Adam Sessler, master bumbler, was attached to it and threw any realistic assessment of the games quality out the window. Both the media and g4 nostalgeeks were endorsing it left and right, when the shitty reality was that it was a massive flop and absolutely useless.
