So Dominos wants to fix the potholes because their pizzas are getting damaged in delivery I guess?
I don't fucking know but the worlds so weird now.
Corporations who use the roads being the ones to pay for them? This is a libertarian's wet dream, and everyone else's indicator of a failed state.
Cool idea and good marketing
Free access through the toll booth with a valid dominoes receipt with a value over $20
Honestly, if they're willing to do so, let 'em! You can never have too well-maintained an infrastructure, that's what I say.
It's just a shame it's come to this, but in this Republican-controlled corporate state, if we the civilians can put the corporations to work in some way as well, we might as well make the most of it.
This is depressing that corporations have to repair our roads because the government is too busy dumping truck loads of cash into the burning furnace that is the military, instead of properly funding infrastructure.
Funnily enough, there's a Domino's in my town that has the worst fucking potholes I've ever seen in their parking lot.
You do understand that beyond the interstate almost all roads are cared for at a state and or city level right?
Blame the feds if your freeway is fucked, blame your local government for potholes on your street.
I bet they just chip and tar, cold patch, and call it a day.
I agree with your point, but this is an incredibly condescending way to state your argument
That's the MO here. Hell, I've seen them do it to pot-holes in the winter with water still in them, so you can guess how long that repair lasts.
Thats what they all do though lol. I've seen this one pothole on my way to work for a year and they have "repaired" it 6 times.
And just like their hearts, the most vital organ of the human system, Americans continue to horribly neglect it because it's easier to just eat a few fast food burgers than it is to take care of and maintain the body. Cholesterol, cracks, heart disease, pot holes, etc.
best part is when you have a waterline break, they don't come to fix it for 8 hours, then proceed to just pour some gravel in the hole and leave a large trench across the middle of the road filled with compacted dirt and gravel instead of road
He never said he was talking about the federal government. US congressman in the house and senate often approve of military funding because it provides jobs to their state or district.
Fix virtually all roads in the country, give healthcare universally, better education for everyone, create a cleaner environment
or kill more brown people for some reason
Domino's builds the roads, PornHub plows them.
Pizza delivery and pornography have found a second, glorious union.
But it's the market stepping in to resolve an issue???? What's wrong with that??????? The government doesn't HAVE to cater to its people!!!!!!!!! It's fine if the Crunchberry Corporation mulches criminals into EZ-FEED to deal with the overpopulation issue!!!!! It's resolving a problem!!!
I seriously don't understand why whenever I say "Your local government affects you the most strongly", everyone piles on me; this is exactly correct. This sort of shit is why local elections matter.
The ratio of dollars spent to combatants killed since 2014 is fucking abysmal, by the by. I encourage you all to look it up and do the quick math yourself.
I won't spoil it, but on a per-person basis the US government spends magnitudes more on killing arabs than it does caring for its own citizens
Your local government(s) do far more than fill potholes and act like a HOA, and your state government directly affects most of what you said in your post;
More than the federal government does.
Moreover, your vote is worth a hell of a lot more in local elections than federal ones; the more local the vote, the more sway you have, especially when considering the fact that most people don't bother to vote on anything except for when presidential candidate's names are on the ballot.
Reminds me of a few years back when Pornhub stepped up to help plow cities
dont expect a basement dweller to understand that
Public Relations is one of the best things that happened to capitalism
Fully expecting Comcast to buy and throttle a highway by 2030
