I suppose this isn't true anymore, then.

Excite is happening.
did you pay any attention because he shoots a web for that guy, and the articles from the Gameinformer coverage event months ago mentioned that he webs people that fall off with no cost to your supply
I must have missed that, although I remember seeing a point earlier in the stream where a guy flies through boxes off of a building, but no web is shot.
Incase anyone is wondering, this gameplay shows:
Electro
Rhino
Scorpion
Vulture
Mr. Negative
from other material we also know that Kingpin, Taskmaster and Shocker are in the game.
Yuri specified 5 of his worst enemies escaped the raft already. unsure if this is counting the ones we see
Electro says "exclusive club" when asked about where he got his new suit
Mr. Negative says "Remember, he said not to kill him" when he drops himself off, basically confirming he is not the main antagonist
What timezone is this picture set in?
PT
I'm convinced the villain is Doc Ock. This has to be a setup to the Sinister Six.

Demo they had out for people to play. Shocker is in the demo.
Those dropkicks/kicks in general that send enemies flying into shit look unbelievably satisfying.
I tuned into the live gameplay and the guy was just web zipping everywhere. I was really worried the swinging would be bad because it looked like he was trying to hide it. Then they started talking about how fun swinging is and he started just swinging around and it looked fucking great.
I doubt any game will match Spiderman 2's swinging, but this looks close.
If you go pop Spider-Man 2 into your PS2 or PS3 right now, you'll quickly notice the swinging is both stiff, janky and a bitch to control in terms of elevation. Literally every single open-world spidey game since has had better swinging. I have no idea why people push this weird narrative, but i suspect rosey glasses are very intimately involved. Literally played it two hours ago and the swinging is not even remotely as good as i remembered it being back then. It was the best at the time because it was literally the only attempt at realistic spidey-swinging, but it's gonna be beaten soundly and effortlessly by this game. I promise you that.
This is not me hating on Spider-Man 2. This is me being real about how jank the web-swinging is by today's standards. Which is of course understandable, but screw that rose-tinted narrative about it being the best in the series in terms of mobility and feel.
I played Spider-Man 2 during that snow storm a few months ago. I agree that it's clunky but it just takes getting used to. Spider-Man 3's swinging would be better if they didn't add invisible grapple points to the top of the map above all the trees in the game ,which fucks you up every time you go past a park.
Also the Amazing Spider-Man games have terrible swinging.
Funnily enough Disney Infinity had pretty good swinging
