Pro-'straight white male hero' group behind Star Wars actor's ab.. Facebook group Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys claims credit for online abuse levelled at Daisy Ridley and Kelly Marie Tran, who quit social media as a result. A group previously intent on sabotaging the rating of Marvel movie Black Panther has claimed responsibility for the hounding of Star Wars actor Kelly Marie Tran. Tran, who plays Rose in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, was subject to a long campaign of racist and sexist abuse on social media, leading her to close her accounts. The post, which was photographed before deletion by the site Screenrant, expresses no remorse for any actions, instead declaring Tran’s exit from social media as “bloody glorious”. Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys’ aim is for Star Wars to be controlled by a studio who will reverse “forced diversity” and “bring back the Straight White Male Hero that isn’t manufactured by a corrupt corporation”. https://memestatic.fjcdn.com/pictures/What+a+bunch+of+cunts+i+hated+the+new+star_83c319_6633659.jpg What a bunch of fucking losers.
Amazing how much effort can be poured into such ridiculous and horrendous "causes"... they need to get a life.
The internet is a big part of our lives. This is their life.
Something must be wrong with me, because I can't take this seriously, its sounds so stupid, its reads like parody.
"Bring back the Straight White Male hero" lmao this seems more like a troll trying to get attention, but if this is legit and they really did that then yeah wow what a bunch of fucking losers lmao tho the admin of the group is pretty strongly denying it apparently https://twitter.com/Azcatryo/status/1005560189053952000
More reactionary losers
What i find amusing (and by amusing i mean fucking depressing) about the "FORCED DIVERSITY has RUINED star wars!!!" horse shit that people bang on about in regards to the new Star Wars movies- is that you can find the exact same complaints from the exact kind of people making them today, published about the Original Trilogy. Right wing cry babies were bitching about how the original trilogy was anti white male, with the empire consisting entirely of white males while the rebellion was full of aliens and diversity. It's mentioned in a Shaun video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTJIk5PkTXg around 20:30 for the exact part I'm talking about. The only difference is, now this narrative is actually being parroted by people who aren't lost cause neo nazis on stormfront, just people who hear some edgy hot take online and just make it their opinion without thinking about it.
What a bunch of pathetic losers. Imagine feeling proud of yourself for this.
i really don't get how someone can sincerely grow up with something as loving and idealistic as Star Wars and end up twisting it like this
I'd rather not. 😟
So instead of going after the shitty writers, they harass the actors. Not only pathetic, but fucking stupid.
There were loads of problems with the Last Jedi, an Asian character wouldn't even make list of dozens and dozens of things wrong with it.
the internet has makes you stupid
I seriously don't get how Star Wars has gotten so political.
It's even funnier when you consider they just made a Star Wars film about a straight white male protagonist and filled with references to Legends material, and it ended up bombing hard and doing way worse than all their films about female and minority heroes. How about we just don't harass anyone thanks.
imagine being this fucking pathetic. Bring back the straight white male hero? Are you fuckin kidding?
It's about size, not content. If you believe there's a conspiracy within the entertainment industry then the biggest names in the industry are the ones you're likely to be most fearful of.
is this what that 30 year old manchild that got evicted from his parents house by a judge was up to? what a bunch of absolute losers.

It's like being proud of yourself for swallowing sixty tapeworms.
Imagine being THIS proud of being such a reprehensible shitstain simply because you don't like a movie.
Imagine being proud of it at all.
I'm completely out of the loop regarding Star Wars, I saw the first one of the new movies but none of the later ones. What is the major controversy regarding Kelly Marie Tran? A bad actor or a bad character? Because I've heard both.
Phew, dodged a bullet there. I swallowed a whopping sixty one tapeworms.
Neither really. Her character was just kind of irrelevant to the plot but got a lot of screentime with filler scenes.
I've mainly heard that the writing for her character wasn't that great, and she was apparently getting a lot of shit for it on social media because shes the most public face of that character (I guess it's hard for some people to separate who they see on stage from who that person is outside of acting?). I haven't seen the movie so I'm just speculating. I mainly came to say that I don't really understand what these people hope to gain from all of this? Like, sure you harassed an actor so much that she decided it wasn't worth it and would be best to not even participate in social media any more. Good job. Disney is still going to make movies the way they want, legends isn't going to come back because of this shit show, and most viewers are hopefully going to view these people as scum, if they pay attention at all.
It's more the later, i think. I haven't seen any "major controversy" but i have seem a few express disappointment with one particular scene involving her, that was extremely out of place and ultimately let down a serious, emotional moment mostly for the sake of a cheesy typical-Disney-like line. If you want to know exactly what the problematic scene is, it's:Finn is going to sacrifice himself to save everyone else by charging straight at a Mini-death star laser canon in a speeder. It's a serious moment that has plenty of weight to it and feels like it is going to be a fitting, meaingful end for Fin's character arc - sacrificing himself to save everyone he cares about because there is no other way. Kelly's character suddenly comes out of nowhere in a speeder right before he does it, shoving Finn's out of the way and ultimately stopping him for stopping the cannon, only for her to kiss Finn and then say "“That's how we're gonna Win. Not fighting what we hate, Saving what we love"....even though she's basically just doomed everyone else by stopping Finn. Basically there's a complete juxtaposition and letting down a heartfelt emotional that just ruins the scene and takes away what would have been the whole point of it.
i mean i said it was pathetic none the less. Its just more stupid that they target the wrong people that aren't even responsible for the writing.
Yeah, imagine that. I swallowed 61 tapeworms and you don't see me bragging about how awesome it made me.
