Flatworms are hermaphroditic. When they mate, they fight to try and stab the other with their penis. They can just stab the other wherever, and inject sperm wherever, to reproduce. They're fighting because whichever one gets stabbed has to actually give birth to the offspring, which is energetically expensive.
