When the hate doesn't even try to disguise itself, things are about to go very badly.
November is going to be the defining moment for America's future. Don't make us invade your burger-eating asses in the name of restoring freedom and democracy.
I'll be totally honest. If Canada were given the option to magically annex the USA and make all its people our own, I wouldn't want to touch that with a ten foot pole. We'd get a lot of decent people from across the country, but one must also consider the brainwashed masses that make up the GOP's base, and the corrupt entities that make up the GOP themselves. We'd be letting so many neo-nazi and alt-right extremists into our country that we'd be as fucked as the US appears to be for the foreseeable future. So thanks, but no thanks.
Not entirely sure, but maybe Google was sending us a message by listing Nazism and Republican together when they had that debacle not too long back?
I wish that was even a plausible option, although preferably a last resort
On the other hand, your media laws might allow you to disarm that bomb in time. They'd lose their propaganda networks, and all that would be left to fuel them are internet bloggers. Any attempts to get their fix by watching television would end with them getting reasonably balanced news. Without anchors constantly talking about welfare queens and border jumpers, that rhetoric would start to crumble.
Does polling show racism = votes or something? What the fuck is with these scumbags cropping up lately.
The Republican Party is now the Trump Party, as seen most recently in yesterday's primaries where Mark Sanford, respected career Republican but also someone who's criticized Trump over big things (but still voted with him 89% of the time), lost his primary to a challenger representing Trump loyalty.
Trump feeds off the alt-right base and let's not forget Steve "American ethnostate now" Bannon's influence in the early days of the current administration. Candidates trying to win by out-Trumping Trump need to push further to the right, and that means barely-disguised and not-even-disguised racism. Moderates aren't welcome because they're seen as unwilling to support Trump's goals.
Trump's goals being to build a wall and keep immigrants out because America is full and closed so go back home to your shithole countries, among other radical-right things.
Hm I'm beginning to think one party is worse than the other.
This is not what the special relationship intended
