https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sarah-sanders-raj-shah-planning-to-depart-the-white-house/ The hits keep coming today! Good riddance to the willing mouthpiece for some of the most egregious lies ever told in this country.
Good fuckin' riddance and no sympathy from me. Absolutely worst white house press sec. to ever hold the post.
Two press secs down in less than one term
Meanwhile McGahn is recusing his whole office (the White House Legal Council's office) from the Russia probe. McGahn made the decision to halt his staff’s interactions with Special Counsel Robert Mueller because many of his own attorneys “had been significant participants” surrounding the firings of national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey, Cobb said. White House counsel McGahn recused his office from Mueller probe
Drain the swamp!
I feel like this is actually really big new.
Guess being called a liar finally got to her.
three, if you count the mooch
Did the Mooch even get a chance to do anything?
They started to process him, but then he got fired before he was officially on the payroll.
I think Mooch was the communications director, not the press secretary.
I was laughing for like 3 minutes when I saw this on the news. I didn't think they could do worse than Spicer, but they proved me wrong. Never forget: Sean Spicer once huddled near bushes to avoid media questions on..
Given Trump’s replacement record, I can only imagine how great the their new one will be.
an old telephone left off the hook so no calls could come through.
As Colbert put it: "it hurts her so much she's started to consider stopping"
Right? Every time Sanders looks for pity, remember that she proudly gave voice to lies so absurd and offensive that her predecessor felt enough shame at having to voice them that them that he literally hid in the bushes.
Well technically that was her predecessor's predecessor. Her predecessor felt so much shame that despite being a long time professional shyster only lasted 10 days.
Giuliani's wife has filed for divorce and his son just got denied a promotion by Chief of Staff John Kelly, so he's not likely to want to go on TV to defend Trump very much this week. McGahn is pulling the entire white house legal counsel office out of topics concerning the Mueller probe. Mueller just filed another 75 indictments (they double those up, one for each party). Sanders and Raj Shah are resigning. Melania is refusing to speak for or by the President at nearly any cost. Trump just got an entire continent's worth of egg on his face by trying to save his crumbling administration with a 'big diplomatic win' which was an epic failure. Meanwhile, Congressional representatives are beginning to turn on each other. Finally, Michael Cohen's documents are about to be handed over to the SDNY for the first time on friday, his lawyers are gone, and he's considering handing himself over to Mueller and testifying as to what he knows in exchange for a lesser sentence and Manafort is getting smashed in the face over and over and over, and might be getting perp-walked to jail while he awaits trial. It feels like the tipping point is coming and that the dam is starting to grow a pretty serious crack. This is do or die time, coming up, for Trump. Either he keeps his cabinet of fools, liars, and thieves in line and covering each others backs - or the moment one of them turns this whole pot is going to detonate with the force of a small atomic bomb and leave his admin. not just a hollow shell, but leave the President himself with precious few allies whatsoever.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders denies CBS News report she's leaving the .. She's denying it
A lot of people have in this administration that then proceeds to either then immediately after quit or quit some time after or around when they said they would. Hell, Sessions offered his resignation and then denied having offered it iirc and the DoJ backed that.
Maybe he'll give up the ghost and go with Shaun Hannity.
The new press secretary will probably be a cardboard cut-out of Danny DeVito.
I laughed, but then I realized that could actually happen and it suddenly lost all its fun as I realized even if it's not Hannity, it could easily be the cast of Fox and Friends.
That's one very likely possibility, yeah. Another is that this was a "leak test." Trump and his associates are known to intentionally spread false stories within their administration with the dual purpose of trying to identify where leaks are coming from, and so that they can turn around and call the media "FAKE NEWS" for reporting on it. If this is the case, however, I am going to be very upset, as the thought of Sarah Sanders resigning in disgrace and fading into obscurity because he shame and lies have finally caught up to her gives me a half chub.

For Trump's next press secretary, they'll be reviving the Tay chatbot with a text-to-speech program and full access for /pol/ and Stormfront. And it'll still manage to be more transparent than all previous ones.
You say that jokingly, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Trump is considering it.
Nah she aint https://twitter.com/PressSec/status/1007062893001609216 A denial would be something like "CBS is lying/the reports are false, I will not be resigning". This is a non-denial denial.
And she's (probably) lying again
Maybe she got the Comey treatment. Fired by Trump without being told finding out from the media
