I'm not sure that there is anything about trump that as moral, except as accident. I don't think he associates with the concept.
This could be interesting, if the religious right splits from the racist right, we could see their voter base get divided.
Do not think this will sway numbers in any quantity as catholics in the US are one of the smaller demographics.
Though they still make up 1/5th of the US population.
While that is true, Catholics are not a united political entity. There are conservative Catholics as well as liberal ones.
Most Hispanics are catholic, but vote Democrat for example.
The Catholic Church has always been very pro-immigration. It's no wonder the majority of the religious right are more of the evangelical types that aren't the biggest fans of the Catholic Church.
