I've not really looked into the news about this game much and I was just wondering - if this is basically the "spiritual successor" of Gmod, will gamemodes like TTT, prophunt and DarkRP be in it?
I know these would most likely have to be created by modders, but will the support be there?

What do you mean by support?
Sandbox can handle third-party gamemodes, if that's that you're asking. Otherwise, I'd consider gamemode support to be in the hands of the gamemode creator.
You could have found about 10 more thread just at the top of this forum about the exact same thing.
The answer is yes, this is GMOD2. Yes you will find gamemodes like TT, Prophunt IF someone makes them. Or you make them yourself.
