That was so fucking good
This is shaping up to be one of their best albums yet.
it makes up for the mediocrity of humanz definitely
while i wouldn't call it one of my favorite albums of theirs yet, it's leagues better than humanz already and the full thing isn't out yet
It's ok, but I don't see myself maxing out my speakers when it comes on the radio like I do Feel Good, Inc or 19-2000 or Clint Eastwood.
Those are the songs that got me into the band and the ones I genuinely enjoy listening to...alongside a couple others, DARE and On Melancholy Hill coming to mind...TBF I'm not a hardcore Gorillaz fan so it's probably not a big surprise I'm a bit indifferent to it.
But, hey, it's nice to see new content from these guys!
I mean all of those are bangers. like I wouldn't blast a lot of my chilled music.
I blast any song I like a ton. It's a surefire way for someone to determine what my favs are: If you can hear it outside of my ride while I have the windows up, engine running, I fuckin' love the song. Blast RHCP all the time. It's my way of losing myself in the song, tuning out everything else.
i honestly think all these singles so far have been mediocre. everyone freaked out when the singles for humanz came out and acted like it was going to be the best shit ever, and they are doing it again with this album.
I'm glad you have an opinion
well, I wasn't part of that crowd, and when Humility came out, I lost my shit because I didn't expect something so good
This is one of their better recent songs. That said, I'm not sure anything will ever match Demon Days. Plastic Beach got close.
Certainly quite good and on repeat listens it does the typical gorillaz magic and gets even better, but not quite my jam.
Am I the only one who get's this "grow on" feeling with EVERY Damon Albarn song? I mean, The Magic Whip and Everyday Robots clashed with me at first, but at the second or third listen I was completely addicted.
